Summer Festival end time?

hypnoticbeasthypnoticbeast Member Posts: 108 Arc User
Can any one tell me why the website says the Summer Festival on the 30th of July, and when you log into the game it says July 23rd? I have searched the forums but came up empty.

There are two period of summer festival. First 2 weeks is summer festival. Last week is summer festival height. So, the summer festival as a whole end on July 30. Technically (as game logic), the first period ends July 23rd and be replaced by Summer festival height right the way.

That makes me feel better. I'm collecting my Favors of Sune for that prized pig. Ever since I saw one I wanted that cute little guy :) I just wish there was a way in the game to speed up your mounts.

There are mount training tokens but the costs pretty much exceed the price of a Zen mount.

That's not the point. The point is some mounts are special and if they are special 'enough' then they are worth the cost to upgrade them. This is the point of the Mount Training Tomes.

@danaswanson - You can upgrade a Rank I mount (usually green) to Rank II (Usually blue) and a Rank II to Rank III - though when you upgrade them their "rarity color" does not change, but other than that they are 100% the new rank. It *is* expensive.

However, if you love your Pig that much and find it worth the cost then, by any and all means, you should do it.

Click the "Wondrous Bazaar" button in your toolbar (Looks like an Astral Diamond) to visit the Bazaar store. You will see a "Mount Training Tome Rank II" (and "Rank III"). The Rank II costs 750,000 AD, the Rank III is 1,2 Million AD - so you can see how expensive they are. You must upgrade a Rank I to Rank II before you can upgrade it to Rank III - so for the Pig, Boar, and Steed in the Summer Event you will need both tomes for a full upgrade (for each mount if you have more than one of them). The Water Horse is already a Rank II (Blue) - so only needs a Rank III Tome.

    Here is how it works:

IMPORTANT: Put all your mounts into your bank, leaving only the one mount you want to upgrade in your inventory. There is a BUG in the process that can upgrade the wrong mount from the one you have selected (!!!) - so be sure you have only one mount in inventory - the one you actually want to upgrade.

Double-click the "Training Tome" and a window will popup asking you to select the mount you want to upgrade (Hopefully you have only one choice; see above). Click the upgrade button and that's it. No fireworks or paroles or ding-dongs or anything. The color doesn't even change. But your Rank I is now a Rank II. Now you can upgrade it to Rank III if you want.

I know: Wall-o-text... but I hope it was helpful as we all had to start at the beginning at some point.

I did not know there is a bug. Good to know. Thank you.
