Experience needed from level 60 to 61: 1247 kXP
Experience needed from level 70 to overflow reward: 1785 kXP
    Average kXP per level needed from level 60 to 70: (1247+1785)/2 * 10 = 15160

The vigilance task "Target Irestund" gives 5580 XP, without any XP modifiers. From level 60 to 70 you have, on average, to do 15160000/5580 = 2717 vigilance quests.

Mobs got 1.5 * HP. Assuming 10 mins per vigi task (get there, kill, get back) gives 27170 vigi minutes. Instead, assuming 5 mins per vigi task (bundle tasks, pug,..) this is 13585 vigi minutes. That is 13585/60/24 ≈ 9.34 full 24h days vigi quests. There are 4*3*16 = 192 vigi zones quests. Out of those total minutes you will spent 15720/192 ≈ 71 minutes in one vigi zone.

I feel, it is a bit harsh to say so. But, the vigi zones could have easily been made by a random quest maker generator. Yes, /they/ have been low on recources and, and ... and, and sales. But still. No! No vigilances raised to this level of grinding. It is very displeasing.

I recently noticed a lot of qinjas, quest steal ninjas. People are annoyed and don't bother: "Oh look, someone stupid already did the 5 min fight, now I'm just going to get the looot! Hehe!" Well, looks like I made a big mistake on longterm enjoyment. Stupid me! My 2 mains are HRs. Should have been GWF, DC or OP, that's a walk in the park. HRs are a walk in the dark. I don't see me doing all the boons on some other alts agaaaiinnnn. So yes, the strongholds will fix it all.

Of course they have to make money to keep the game running, but there are a lot of other options then turning the game into a massive grind... and trying to force players into buying items like extremly overpriced xp booster to play again at a normal pace.

They could start with pricing the existing packs more reasonable, so that they sell more of them, and then introduce new packs, with usefull and account wide upgrades in it.

But just read a bit about Strongholds, it looks like they will also become just another huge grind... and my guess is, that there will also be new items in the ZEN shop to ease the grind in Strongholds too.

More membership slots for guilds, or may be even level ups for guilds or something else.

I was thinking about leveling another paladin but the expierence wall is stopping me from that. I even see no point in adding new classes to the game. The pain of leveling to 70 will just be too great - at least to me.

I'm more than glad that all the characters I'm actually playing with reached level 70 when it still was "fun" and overflow XP flowed plenty (the good old level 60 days) ;-)

You can still play/level a character to 60, then do the Minsc quests for some equipment.
Park the character in a resting area, and continue with invoking/profession tasks, until the Devs come to their senses.

Still wondering if some players actually buy those XP boosters, and that is the reason, why we don't see any changes about XP at all...

That is what I do, actually. It is split in two for me. The part from level 1 to 60, where the alts get a not soon to be continued seat, and the level 70 part. It occured to me that, after completing the boons grind in Sharandar and Dread Ring, it might be fun to revisit those areas for the uhm.. new gear. But not so. The red caps respawn almost as fast as my HR can bid them farewell. It is exausting. I still enjoy the HR class, but not a 10 times through 5 minutes 1-2-3 click-click for every single mob.

There are still some dragon boons left to aquire. I need some, uh forgot the name, some book or so, for the next boon. The tooltip states, it is to be aquired from ToS. So I queued. Besides the HR being a 1800 ilevel 1-shot paper doll when she got aggro, I experienced a 30 SnR lag every 5 minutes, until her third KO, which got her unpartied. Hmmm, so no skirmish, no dungeons, I maybe retry in a month or so. But, by that time she will be even more of a 1-shot paper doll, when the next mod gear spiral hits in.

I use all azures and those buy XEN experience raising shirt and pants. 50% bonus XP. The loot enhancing stones from dragon and Sharandar campaign seemed superfluous.

Seems to be a good time to explore some foundries. Or take a long or very long break.

If they continue to use the same kind of exploitive marketing scheme that is used in the eastern markets, than I will simply start playing something else.

I don't care how fun the game is, I won't have anything to do with a bussiness model that is so obviously exploitive. As far as I am concerned, its a violation of principle, and a viloation of the confidence of the consumer

The rewards are still the same, and just a guess, but if they had upgraded the rewards in the same amount as the grind, there would still be some complaining, but at least the players would have something to look forward to.

The same goes for the difficulty. Instead of putting some effort into making that right, it's still pretty much messed up.
Mobs that one-shot you, or uses healing abilities or potions that reset the whole fight... there is a lot of cleaning up to do by the Devs.
