I run a Rainbow-laron built on one of my toons, using one of all the different variants of polarons, along with the various 2-pc sets you need for polaron boosts. It's a TRIBBLE monster. I strongly encourage you to get the Polaron beam from the piezo set. It's a [CritD]x3 beam at UR and can be a boon for tacs or tac ships…
Well, the biggest problem is *the game engine isn't that good*. It's one way, it isn't good at changing states, it just kinda sucks and the limitations of it are showing.
Yeah I'm seeing this too with my toon that is running Elite Fleet shields. I'll need to see if my other toons are doing this too. Removing and re-applying the shield doesn't help.
We can start by making newly -generated Batleths NOT be gimped by missing a modifier (this has been a bug for years and NOTHING has been done about it...)
Many if not all frigates are STILL not going to full impulse when out of combat or when the mothership does. It sucks. You are stuck with ships that are out of effective range 1/2 of the time. Also, pet pathing scripts suck for cannon usage; I suggest you stick to pets that have beam arrays as their primary weapon.
It was entertaining seeing an Oberth fly by and actually use its weapons, if only for a nanosecond in First Contact... That said, the best T1 ship I would say is the Oberth, simply because of Sensor analysis.
Actually, the Nacelle should *not* be visible when not in MVAM mode. The way you prefer it is the wrong way both to intentions and to the i.p. It should NOT be visible at all when the ship is assembled.
The NPCs themselves aren't difficult: its the masses of mobs that gank you that's the issue. The Romulans are armed with both Sniper rifles and photon grenades, both of which can knock you down, thus making you vulnerable and unable to retailiate for seconds at a time simply due to the animation of getting back up. If…
It's certainly a visual issue, but it's also something else: The [WpnCrt] mod ONLY applies to your handheld weapons; it acts like a neutered version of [CritX] (about 2/3rds of a CritX, which is normally (CrtH + 1/2 CrtD)). The problem is there is NO place on the paperdoll to se the bonii you get to your weapons, so the…
I wouldn't sell the Elite Orion Slavers short: They're quick, they also have photon torps, mines and they still steal TRIBBLE of value: Prisoners, contraband and GQ commodities. Granted, not as often as they used to since the uber-nerf, but they still do. Plus, there's the added humor of seeing that you gained 350 ec from…
lol I cannot count how many times bugs were reported in tribble, but nothing gets changed before release. Alas "Tribble = Holodeck" is the norm. Unless it involves a dilithium exploit or somesuch.
That's just weird that the Escort Carrier can't, though it allows the unlock. Honestly, they should make it so you need to own at least 2 Jem Hadar ships to get the pets (So you could do, say Escort Carrier and Dread Carrier) or somesuch....or a T5 + T6 version of Dread carrier.
On my KDF Romulan, I can't TW to either of the zones, and on my other toons, Transwarping to "Alpha Quadrant - Bajor Sector" puts me next to Defera. *scratches head*.
On another semi-related note - I want to post something about Protonics, both weapons and consoles, why they suck and thoughts on what to do to fix them to the STO Reddit. Can you guys help me crystallize the ideas? Some of the posts here have been very helpful.
On a semi-related note, I *did* find a use for a Protonic Polaron weapon on a ground build. So on one of my Tacs, I had a random drop sitting in my bank from long ago when I was getting Dyson rep: a Protonic Polaron Pulsewave assault [CritD]x2. I was looking for something optimized for Miner Instabilities where CC is…
I was speaking about Phased Polarons - were you thinking of the current TRIBBLE phaser proc that the Borg are immune to? I'd just rather have another modifier for stronger punch....
