I'm getting the same. Once it was so bad that I couldn't even reslot my traits since it had put some unremovable (and unuseable) ones in the slots and wouldn't let me unslot them. The only fix was to log all the way out of the game. Even so I have to put the correct ones back.
I'm having the same issue with the current RA event. Yesterday after completion, it showed progress of 2. I logged in today to do number 3 and it had reverted to progress 1. So now, I have done 3 but only got 2 progress. There's still plenty of time, but obviously something is up.
Didn't work for me, trait (and equipment) unloading is far worse than it's ever been before. I suppose at least they fixed the randomness aspect. Whereas before it happened annoyingly often, now it happens without fail on every map change - for me at least.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I suspect a fat-fingered edit while patching in the Epic launcher that changed a ">=" into a "==" when testing the dx feature level. Since people have mentioned other Epic launched games have the issue too, it may even be in one of their supplied DLLs... which could make it awkward for…
I expect to be honest that someone fat-fingered an edit while patching in the Epic launcher, and changed a ">=" to an "==". Simple issue, but hard to spot. Either that or it's the first step in checking to ensure everyone's using the Epic launcher, then (in standard Epic practice) disallowing all other launchers, starting…
The biggest issue in my opinion isn't either of these things. I mean they'll probably fix the bug on Tuesday... probably. The problem is that we need to repeat these travesties 20 times. It sucks all the fun out of a game! Yay for new content, even buggy new content, but nay for having to repeat this content ad nauseam…
Yeah I noticed my Oddy (T6-X in my case) could just ignore the nukes outside too... Then again, it needed to, since slowing and turning takes about a week in that thing.
So you're saying that it's better to punish random innocents than to let a guilty person get away with it? That sounds awfully like "guilty until (and even after) proven innocent" to me.
It is however, Cryptic's fault in that they choose to use Akamai, rather than a more competent solution to the problem. It's not like they haven't had time to investigate.
Indeed, my only issue with the Kobayashi Maru event is that the Kobi has Starfleet Logos and USS prefix on it... It's meant to be a civilian ship! But that's not exactly relevant to the discussion. Oh, and my spell checker works fine on these forums. I suspect your answer to that one lies elsewhere.
A quick google search tells me that this is pretty common with Steam games. IF you use steam, try changing the Steam Overlay keybind from shift-tab to something else (you can change it back if it doesn't solve the problem). That said, I use steam to launch the game and I don't see that problem so ... still worth a try.
OK, well I have no idea about the streaming aspect. Never seen that... but you can remap the run key until you find a solution. Yeah just checked. No streaming options at all, and shift just runs... Is it possible the shift = stream settings is part of some other software you have running? Maybe graphics card related, or…
Must admit I've never seen that. To be fair, outside of the event, I usually only go there for photography while there are fewer people around, so it's no surprise I don't see any activity. Having said that, is this a time-zone thing? I dunno. In the end, it matters very little to me which way it goes. I can take photos…
Funny, living here myself, I'd say it's pretty much been a police state for the last 10 years or so. However, to expand on that would be needlessly political, so let's not.
