  • Actually Kirk usually tried to do so without killing. Though he loathed the duties of diplomacy he recognized it's importance. It was Kirk who observed that we can accept the fact that we are killers... but we can decide that we will NOT kill... today. Like an alcoholic taking it one day, once incident, at a time. :P
  • I created this list decades ago based on the idea that "Enterprise" and "Intrepid" are noble attributes... so: Enterprise Intrepid Valiant Reliant Explorer Pioneer :D
  • Actually, it is. The original concept of the Mirror Universe story was a kind of "anti" universe where the good is evil and evil is good. Where the Federation is an iron-fisted Empire ruling it's various vassal planets. Hence the name of the TOS episode that introduced it, "Mirror, Mirror". It was our own universe in…
  • Now the Hall of Legends... come join the Legends
  • Come be an Outlaw!
  • Just this! If you max your build for crits/accuracy then AP can be dynamite! Otherwise it's not so hot. You need to match you build and weapon choice for max effect. :D
  • If you're running Crystalline Cataclysm (the special limited time event) and you're primarily interested (as I am) in just getting the requisite 14 shards then just run the regular. The immediate rewards aren't that much less, you'll still get your shard and once the limited time event is over (3 weeks) everything will go…
  • Another advantage of the KCB. If, like me, you run an energy build (no torps) then it's your only defense against the annoying Aceton ASSimilators... :D
  • Amen!! And, believe it or else, I'd wish the same thing for the Klingon side as well. Being a Warrior is MUCH more than simply killing and destroying... fighting. How about a series of content and challenges that focus on everything it means to be a Warrior... especially the positives? Why the hell IS this game called…
  • I usually park mine on board ship (that is their "home", after all) or at Fleet Starbase.
  • Mk XII and Mk XIV... where's Mk XIII?? What, are we stupidstitious all of a sudden?? :P
  • No... we just REALLY want that ship. And we'll keep asking and hounding till we get it. We want it, we deserve it... make it so! :D... we won't take NO for an answer...
  • Announcing a Fleet name change... we are now Hall of Legends! Come join us!
  • ROFLMAO - OH this made my night! heheheheh
  • Gen. Keth commands a Fleet Norgh. I've taken that into most of the ESTF's at one time or another and often still do. I like my BOP. It is a different style of play from a cruiser... but it's supposed to be. I often take it into CE Elite. Usually the only time I *pop* is when I'm not paying attention and don't beat feet…
  • You and the OP (who's 37)... I'm 57! All I can say is... you kids! SHEEESH
  • The primary difference is really very simple. In the mid-20th most of the really good Sci-Fi TV series; ST:TOS, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, etc. used scripts either written or based on books/novels/novellas/short stories by established Sci Fi authors. Today most of the scripts are written by Hollywood mill writers working…
  • YES! (and tell "Q" I said to suck a root) :P

  • Seconded! The stats on the Hegh'Ta are only slightly less than those on my Fleet Norgh and the Fleet Norgh is virtually identical to a Fleet B'rel. So if you can't stay alive in a Hegh'Ta then I would say BOP's are not your cup of tea :D... no prob, though, I have a KDF Tac in a Fleet Torkaht that can seriously tear things…
  • I'll second that emotion! :P (oh, and ignore the snide remarks that will, no doubt, come from the Neo-Victorians... you know how THEY are )

  • The Hegh'Ta BOP (the last free BOP) is one of the best free awarded ships on the KDF side. Well loved by most KDF players it's the slowest BOP but still fast enough and tougher than any other BOP. Ample weapons, console and BoFF slots. Best choice, IMO, for what you have in mind.
  • Aim to misbehave with the Outlaws
  • The problem with this analogy is that with few, if ANY, exceptions Doctors, Surgeons and Engineers, in the real life Navy, do NOT end up Captaining ships. You may have Captains that started out in one or another discipline but, at some point, they will transition to a Command training track and by the time they have…
  • Confirmed. I often get back up from several KDF ships on the Tau dewa Sector runs. A word of warning. When you first warp in wait a few moments before cloaking. The very FIRST thing the silly sods do when they warp in is hail you and wish you good hunting... which of course gives away your position (decloaks you).
  • Well, originally, it was intended as a place where Lifer and later Veteran subscribers could go. At the time it was introduced (given where the game was, overall) it seemed like a good idea but never really caught on. It could still catch on but, for now, the fact that it hasn't is it's only REAL attraction. If you're the…
  • Bump in the Night! Come see if you have the stuff Legends are made of!
  • We are, indeed, still recruiting. And more "Merry Men" less "North Korea" is an excellent description heheheh! :D. Email me ingame if you're interested - Leonov@lomax6996 (Fed) ... Keth@lomax6996 (KDF) ... Q'Pla!
  • Actually almost everyone uses the "Search" function. I do, frequently. Of course, in 3 years I can count the number of times it actually found what I was looking for on the fingers of one hand...
  • Quieter social zones? KDF = Ganalda Station. FED = K7.
  • You have troll fleets that mess with people by AFK'ing, troll fleets that pop cover shield to block doors or (recently) Risa races... and you think there won't be troll fleets that use the kick to harass ?
