  • Cryptic-designed ships go in the C-Store and TV/Film ships (aside from the lower tier C-Store ships that have been in since launch) go in promo/infinity-boxes. It's that simple. Why are people surprised?? Cryptic have been quite open explaining this before. There have been very few exceptions to this.
  • It takes all of 2-3 minutes to fully level a T5 mastery, so I doubt that.
  • No issue here either. If no-one has posted then it's just you.
  • Sorry, but your arguments are illogical from the point of view of the Dominion. You are doing alot of 'reaching' to try and shoe-horn females in, and you created the 'offence' by claiming that the Jem'hadar event suffers because there are no females.....without a shred of evidence from Cryptic, who are the only ones who…
  • I will say again, the Jem'hadar are not a victim of genderlocking by Cryptic. They were created that way and there are no females, period. The reasoning for this was well explored. Why should they (The Dominion, CBSViacom and Cryptic) conform to HUMAN (and Federation) ideals!? Why should Cryptic go against something so…
  • There is no logic in having playable Vorta for Odo's Dominion faction as it is in it's current form. It was purposely built for the Jem'Hadar and the Vorta are not subservient to the Jem'Hadar. They have poor eyesight, which makes them poor soldiers, that said, Vorta are administrators and the voice of the founders but it…
  • The amount of joysticks that got broke in our house, the thumbsticks, Kempstons (from the 80's) etc, you could have built a Tesla out of them. My 15-month younger hothead of a brother always blamed the computer
  • Son!? You presume too much  I was gaming in the 70's.
  • What do you mean 'any'? It has adverts on Xbox every so often. Plus, it's touted on various MMO and Gaming sites on a regular basis, especially with offers. As I said....it has had plenty of advertisement.
  • I was reading that it was 56k per day the other day on an MMO population site.
  • They rarely give an 'early' update details because people will complain if it then doesn't arrive on time or as expected. It is normal to get details 24 hours beforehand.
  • It's not that simple. Consideration has to be given for storage space on the Account server. It can't be 'unlimited' space because that does not exist, and to have space set aside for millions of accounts and characters just in case that 1 person might want to have every ship available in their roster is purely wasteful.
  • FB (usually) gets updates before the forum does, and apart from the Console Giveaway snaffu, it is usually on point. As I have it set to notify, I usually get all my 'Official' info first there when I am not near my laptop.
  • Basically, Tactical, so Beam Fire at Will, Beam Overload, Cannon Rapid Fire, Cannon Scatter volley, etc. Anything that requires Specialist seating to use is not included.
  • You can manually alter the zoom with the right stick whilst the zoom option is highlighted, unfortunately, it doesn't remember the settings when you switch maps etc.
  • I'm also going to chime in with this little nugget. The company is going through a transition, with lots of things going on that we won't see, nor be told about. Errors are more prone to happen till things settle. How do we know that it was supposed to be someone from DECA who was supposed to relay the message or not?? We…
  • Last thing I'm saying on this. 'Can we' and 'Should we' do not dictate whether it's a technical or philosophical question. There is no direction in your language to inform us it's a philosophical question. You should have added exacting language like 'what would be the effect on Cryptic's staff if AI was used instead of…
  • Your queries for AI were ALL technical, NOT philosophical. It's not a question of philosophical or ethical nature, and it can not be implied either. There was NO supercilious implying of superiority either. The answers are based in (ironically) current programming logic based on current AI model's capability. Simply put,…
  • Don't worry, I don't take things personally. I do enjoy a constructive discussion. I think you're over-interpreting what they mean by 'spaghetti/legacy code'. The code is probably quite well organised (it would have to be for the game to work anyway), however, I think, and it's been said before, when they say spaghetti…
  • 1) Maybe, but who says it needs sorting and why would it even matter? 2) A practical impossibility. How on Earth would AI know what is bugged or not? Bugs won't appear until they hit Holodeck. The testing environments are not the same as Holodeck, so bugs WILL happen. You can not replicate a live-service the size of STO's…
  • And I bet she still doesn't have shields worth a damn either
  • Actually like to see stations with weapons. Who in their right mind at Cryptic thought it would be a good idea to not equip stations with a shed load of firepower?? The only times I've seen it is DS9 and Fleet Starbase, and even then, there's less firepower on them than a player-controlled shuttlecraft
  • This wasn't said, only that it would take, potentially, years.
  • Nope. This is FCT material. Point 12. Kickstarter Threads. If you were also paying attention, they said it would not only require them to totally rebuild the entire game, which would take at least years, and they also specifically said you would NOT get better graphics either. They also said the engine something is built…
  • Breezed through those sections. It's not broken. It would be helpful to know what exactly is happening to you, but there's no sudden jump in difficulty. If you're struggling with survivability, slot Reverse Shield Polarity and Hazard Emitters.
  • You MUST progress to where you are given it by your contact within the mission during the Event itself. If you don't, you won't get it. Just creating the character is not enough to give you it.
  • That's NOT what I said. I gave valid and easily accessible counters as a way of adapting. There is no irony. This complaint is purely because someone can't/won't adapt their own play style. Even if I don't use a Tac Beam, with RSP (Reverse Shield Polarity) and Hazard emitters, I can still dispatch an enemy throwing FBP…
  • Beware, the Console also needs line of sight, which the cube blocks. It won't hit stuff you can't see and it was this way on PC too.
  • It was working correctly after maintenance, except for in the new mission, where it is an 'old bug' reported when you were playing as the Inquisitor.
  • The best counter, besides SubNuc and/or RSP plus Hazard Emitters is a Tachyon Beam from a Sci vessel with Deteriorating Sec Deflector equipped. Melts the ship in question and has a fast cooldown. Just because waiting it out isn't 'engaging gameplay', it doesn't make it wrong or mean the game has an issue though. This is a…
