Console: Call to Grethor! Summon several lost souls of Grethor for every ally within range. To reference the temporal specialization: a console that rewinds your ship to the location/state it was in a few seconds ago. Add a burst of flame to make it a flaming teleport effect. Another: Bind their souls! If your target is…
Remember the theme is repurposing as much as possible. You have to explain how to create the new stuff using mostly old stuff. Invasion style attacks on your ship would take a massive amount of new resources. How would you do it with what we already have? Like, let's take shooter mode. There's a scene where I think Worf…
I'll never use the imperial rift set. Not my thing. But I like the dancing Elachi. I like the idea of your character being followed around by friendly aliens you summoned as a byproduct of the tech you use. It's a nice counterpoint to being shot at by aliens summoned by tech someone else used (Tholians. Looking at you).…
Space Barbie powers! All my clothes are indestructible and fit perfectly forever. And the ability to change my body in any way I want (restricted to what's possible for a species) pretty much whenever. Everyone still knows it's me, but that's not a deterrent to good looks and reversible, no consequence gender swaps.
This thread has inspired me an idea! Attach Memory Alpha to the accolade system. Each captain can have their own instanced trophy room, with every accolade having a trophy. While it's not particularly practical, it's a pretty good way to show off. Accolade points show how much you've done. A trophy room is a look at what…
Delta's nice, but Charlie has that classic UFO feel. It just makes sense for a newly interstellar civilization to utilize the design. Plus the roleplay possibilities (depending on customization options).
Here's my two cents with stuff that may have come up before: Pick a room from the area that the player house/apartment/hole in the wall will be in. Empty it of props. Put in a grid system to place props. One on the floor, one on the walls, and maybe a point on the ceiling for a chandelier. Have us earn new props by playing…
Captain Proton stuff has been suggested multiple times before, including by myself. (Although I just wanted the suit). Nice to see it pop up again, but it seems unlikely. It still has my support, though.
This thread got me thinking. We can't do androids. But we can do organic brains in robot bodies. To make them unique, the bodies must be visibly mechanical. With special parts not found elsewhere. Would be fun for RP, at least.
I for one welcome our new skill tree. I recall that STO was rushed to released and some things still haven't got the amount of work they should. The release schedule has always been tight. How bulky and unoptimized has the code become at this point? I'm seeing the revamp as more of an under the hood thing than anything…
I did say it was nitpicky. And I know it would take up storage and processing space. It was just a pie-in-the-sky thought. But if storage and processing weren't a problem, what do you think?
I'm not saying a full episode. Just put the swag in the zen store. Or get an enthusiast who'll give it out. Players most definitely will create Captain Proton serials in the foundry. No monochrome conversion necessary. Though an episode would be nice.
I hadn't realized this had come up before. But I'm also not surprised in the slightest. Anyways, when I imagined using Proton's ship as a pet, I was thinking that it could be held up by visible wires that sorta fade into the distance. Which could potentialy be hilarious if used with the jetpack. Just imagine looking up to…
Your right, isthisscience. It would be a bit much for just a mini-game. And doing most of it in the doff system would probably make it more viable. I just like the idea of seeing my students doing stuff over a one sentence after action report. Which sounds more entertaining: You see your student get punched by a…
