I agree with their thinking about making torp firing 'meaningful'. How you do that w/o obliterating everything in one-shot, I got no clue. If it starts at 0 charges at the beginning, everything will be dead before it charges because ship builds can already get stupidly OP already.
Except for the Borg and their annoying Adapting to different flavors of weapons just about anything Mk14 or 15 works fine. Split Beams are my go-to, generally. My Boffs just use old Reputation Sets I got tired of using. Like others have mentioned a physical weapon like the shotgun, tommy gun or TR116 are the best for Borg.
Your last point is the hardest part of Infected. If everyone goes right, go left or sit in the middle and clean up the probes as they come through the gate. Most people zoom to one (or both) transformers and don't camp the middle for the probes entry.
IMO... The more DPS you do, the more worthless DoTs are. If you kill a ship in 3 seconds with 500k DPS, a '200/second for 15 seconds' DoT really doesn't do much. Especially if the DoT is "2.5% Chance to Apply". At this point in STO, the 2.5% Chance isn't even 'icing on the cake', its the sprinkles on the icing on the cake.…
I want to buy a 2023 model year car. But its not happening. There's nothing in this game you NEED. In the long run you will be happier not chasing lobi, lockboxes, etc. Or at the very least, be patient, do this year's mega event and then choose the free 1500 Lobi. My bet... by the time you can choose the Lobi you won't…
Yup. While I like the Endeavor system, it's really not helpful to the game other than as a power creep multiplier. Unless they can find non-power boosting things to put on it, I hope it's at it's end. You can still do the dailies for dilithium and stuff, you just won't get more power.
I think this is great. Now that there is T6, I just really can't see many players feeling the desire to spend Zen on T5. I've thought that offering T5 coupons is something that should be done more freqently. Maybe even offer them as an option for the yearly prize. Something like... Choose 1 Promo ship or 2 T6 coupons or…
I really like the look of the new ship. I think they pull off the cooperation build look very well. Though not sure how useful an Ensign Command seat really is? But I do like Temporal with a Sci build. My only real gripe would be more with the Sci-carrier class being underpowered vs other classes that all have 'special'…
I understand it's the ONLY new Trek out there to use. But I hate the show. I hate the ship designs & their disconnected parts. I really hope Discovery gets cancelled soon so Cryptic can move on to doing their own stuff again. I have more faith in them than the Discovery writers.
Yeah, that'd be cool to get. Maybe something to think about adding in future AoY event re-runs. It's not like the TOS era starter missions were super long. Making similar length ROM/KDF versions shouldn't be that labor intensive?
I also dislike the camera shake in space combat. It just doesn't feel 'real' to me that my camera, which is kilometers away from the ship, should shake when the ship gets hit. Just like having an old TV resolution filter on my game feels unrealistic. If 'I was there' there'd not be a static-y film grain over my eyes. But…
I was kinda hoping for a T6 Nova just to stop the whining. :D I think these look good overall. I could live w/o the Grissom one having those tiny little extra warp pylons. Just seem out of place, imo. Nice how the Clarke is a callback to how the Miranda was initially designed, with top nacelles. And is this the first time…
Always seems to be an Upgrade Weekend 2 weeks before I need one. :D Guess my KDF recruit will just have to make due with Mk12 till the next one comes around.
There's 1 or 2 powers that might suck it up or dodge it. Tow that come to mind for me are...* One of the Sovereign consoles draws all aggro and then makes you immune to damage for a few seconds. * The Elachi subspace dive console should evade it.
