Game crashes upon loading.

OK, I've finally got to the point where I can log in, I have a character, but when I select it, instead of going to the cutscene (I get what I assume is a door and about a sentence about Romulus?), the game takes me to an empty room, apart from two people, one on either side of it. There's no way for me to move about, and the music just keeps on playing.

I have to Ctrl-alt-delete my way out, it keeps happening.

Please advise.

    BUMP.

    To clarify, it's the loading window with assorted factoids, I've only ever gotten past it twice without it crashing.

    Both times, the game crashed in the next room.

    I don't think it's a grapics-related problem, because the program just stops responding.
