just found out not long ago about STO!

    Allrdy i cant wait! :)

Did youtube it allso, a vid said it was to be released in 2008?
so, there is still no release date?

what ive seen so faar, from vids, previews, and beta lookups, i cant wait!
The STO universe looks immence! thats very good!

I love the thing u control the starship, love it that u can costimize your own ship!
Love it you can walk around!

I allso got an eye to black prophecy, and jumpgate... but STO will be my 1st priority, compared tothe others, STO we know what are, and it looks very promising.

Cant wait to see how the combat will be in STO, how the controls will be.
keep up the good work, and god speed, for god cant wait to :D

As a TOS fan, and following Gene Rodenberry nut I thank you for doing this. The game has been along time in t he coming. I remember when FASA developed something, but it''s nothing like what you are doing. I am 44 years of age, and used to go to conventions quite frequently. I hope and pray tjhat my older system will meet the requirements of your software technology and that yout engine works on proccessors that are older than 3 years. The economy is so bad, that many of us can't afford to upgrade.

From 80,000 per year to a 15 dollar per hour job repairing pc's is disgusting. I pray your using inhouse people that are not H1-B visa people. Also, please keep your tech support stateside.

While I'm not praying I do hope, with every bone in my body, that you are using in-house "American" workers to get this game up and running, and for supporting it afterwards. It would certainly make me much more likely to buy any other games you create.

One other thing, If SOE gets involved now or in the future in this game IN ANY WAY, I will refuse to play it from that point on, even if I love the game. I quit WoW for this very reason, just FYI. Frankly, I am sick to death of Sony Online Entertainment, also known as the Sony Online Fraud Department. Anyway, just wanted to express my support for local workers getting jobs for this project too, and thank you Questor for brining this up.

and... HURRY UP AND OPEN THE BETA ALREADY!!! :p

    Evening All,

I have been an avid MMO player going back to Magecraft on AOL. After playing EQ, WOW, and a few others, I can honestly say that I am looking forward to both Star Trek and Champions Online. Along with many others, I am just hoping that either Open Beta or the game release comes fairly soon.

    Warm Regards

I can't wait until the game is published even if it means that I have to buy a better PC.

Courious question, I know not even beta is out but has there been anything on recommended or minimum requirments for the game? I have looked around but may have missed it.

Hello, long time Trekker, first time poster. Looking forward strongly to the MMO! I'm looking at it as a potential WoW-killer. I'm a 2360 era fan with strong ties to TNG. I like fine synthehol, long walks on the holographic beach, and scanning Ferengi ships for stolen or forbidden goods. I eagerly anticipate working with you all (to expose said smugglers!).

Could be wrong but I think it is a concept drawing done by Perpetual when they had the game.

(translated Dutch site but you'll get the idea...at the bottom)

Read the threads, it should be pretty obvious that it's not been released yet.

Really looking forward to this game. I think the world is in a state of 'loving Trek' again what with the reception the new film is getting. The perfect time to make the most of it and get some god gaming done.

Loving the look of some of the Starfleet ships too. I designed several ships which were shown on the old STO forums so I really like the direction Crypic are taking the design philosophy :)

    - It will probably require a holo-9000 ( Heuristically Organised Laser Optical ) computer with a plasma venting fan, or something the borg have left behind when they traveled in our past :D
