Siege of Warfang

Siege of Warfang (Realm system 2410)
Sapph (before Amy’s birth)

I’m in Warfang with my crew due to Malefor’s attempt to corrupt my crew with his dark magic. Most of my Betazoids are kept on standby due to their vulnerability to the corruption which leaves me with my photonic officers. My scouts are sending me intel on Malefor’s movements during the Avalarian War. If he manages to corrupt all my organic officers, I’m a goner.

Terrador and the rest of the defenders are discussing the defense of the city when my officers and I arrive. A few moles are setting up the defenses while my engineers set up ambush turrets and other fortifications. Terrador says, “Welcome to the war Admiral. As you can see, things aren’t going well for us. Malefor and his forces have defeated us every time and are preparing to besiege us here. This will be your first time fighting him so be sure to study his tactics and behavior.”
Yes sir. Malefor nearly corrupted my Betazoid officers in an attempt to take me out. I put the rest of my officers on reserve with psionic shielding to protect them.
“Good call. Since your ship can provide orbital support, I will give you permission to order orbital strikes at your discretion.”
Thank you sir.” I say before returning to my command post which is hastily set up in the most protected part of the capital. My tactical officer gives me a PADD complete with intel on Malefor’s tactics and behavior. I study it carefully while taking notes in my mind to prepare myself for what’s coming. My eyes begin to widen and I think, “This is not good.” when I finish analyzing the file. I check my staff and TR116 projectile rifle for any defects before moving to a perch on the walls. It seems the situation will become worse for me and my crew.

The first shots of the siege are fired by Malefor’s forces as a contingent of Grublins and a troll attempt to breach the walls. They are successful and manage to kill a number of Moles before being taken out by Spyro and his allies. This gives our forces a bit of breathing room, but Malefor deploys a bunch of siege platforms to destroy the walls. I tap my combadge and order, “First Arak’talan, lock the ship’s disruptors on the siege platforms and fire!” Several green pillars of light crash into the platforms and destroy them in short order. Unfortunately, the Grublins’ numbers prove to be too much and the gates are at the brink of collapse. Ignitus orders, “Everyone, fall back into the city! Sapph, now would be a good time to deploy those ambush turrets.”
Yes sir!” I respond as soon as I can. I begin to activate the ambush turrets in an attempt to slow down the Grublins for a while until I can send a request for reinforcements. Supplies begin to run out as the siege continues for days. My forces begin taking casualties due to the overwhelming numbers. The wounded are transported to the Lost Lapras’ sickbay while fresh troops transport to the besieged city’s citadel. I tap my combadge and order, “Lt. Flores, send the following message to Sol Alliance Command, ‘This is Admiral Sapphire Ketchum-Chew to any Sol Alliance vessels in range. My allies and I are currently besieged in Warfang in the Realm system and casualties are rising faster than my medical staff can treat. Please send reinforcements and additional supplies to the city. Sapphire out.’”
“Message sent Admiral. Hopefully reinforcements will arrive soon.” replies Flores.
Agreed.” I respond before cutting the channel. Little did we know that reinforcements would be on the way.

Kepler Station
(Luperca)
I’m in my office when my aide rushes in with a PADD in his paws. He gives it to me and says, “High Admiral, one of your officers is in the Realm system. The capital is under siege by Malefor’s forces. Sapphire is doing everything she can to assist the defenders, but they will be overwhelmed if reinforcements and supplies don’t arrive soon.”
Understood. Tell Senior Captain Jerome C. Ketchum-Chew to bring a fleet consisting of his modified Sovereign class battleship, 4 troop transports, hospital ships, and some escorts to reinforce his girlfriend’s forces. The Federation might not become involved unless Queen Firiel of the 1st Fleet decides to join us.
“Yes Admiral.” The aide leaves to relay my orders to Jerome while I begin to plan out my next strategy. If Malefor can expand his corruption beyond the Realm system, we’re as good as dead.

Aboard SAV Moon Wolf
(Jerome)
The Fleet CIC is a hive of activity as various officers and crewmen prepare for the journey to the Realm system. I look at my TacNet display to ensure my fleet is ready. After that, I open a fleet wide channel and say, “All ships, this is Senior Captain Jerome C. Ketchum-Chew. We will depart for the Realm system to support my mate and her allies in the war against Malefor’s forces. I know many of you haven’t faced him before, so study his behavior and tactics carefully. Jerome out.

The crew acknowledges my orders and the fleet warps to the Realm system. The ships position themselves in orbit of Realm Prime and launch shuttles and atmospheric craft to provide support to the city’s defenders.

(Sapph)
I fire a cryo round into a Wyvern’s head while the Guardians provide air support. We’re holding the citadel and the last remaining cannons for now, but the Dark Master’s forces continue to press their numerical advantage. Suddenly, a missile strikes a section of the Grublin army and it disappears in a blue explosion. Green disruptor bolts soon follow and the majority of Malefor’s army is wiped out in a counterattack by my forces. My mate delivers much needed supplies to my troops and we push them out of the city for now. This gives us a few hours to relax as the besieging army retreats from Warfang. Ignitus lets me ride on his back as we proceed to the capitol building. He says, “Sweetie, your armor needs some repairs so I’m delivering it to Mason and his moles. Also, you are under my protection until I can finish the adoption process.”
Thank you sir. A lot of my crew and troops gave their lives to prevent Malefor from spreading his corruption to the Sol Alliance’s worlds.” I respond.

(Meanwhile in the Dark Master’s lair)
Malefor’s planning his next move to corrupt my ships with his dark Manacite crystals. He looks into a crystal and thinks, “Soon, every world will bow before me, the Dark Master!”

THE END.

    Very impressive Lapry.

I look forward to seeing more of this.

I was also wondering whether Dark Manacite was separate from the Dark Gems of canon Spyroverse but it seems they are not.

May I use this as an entry point for Draconiaverse stuff? Full credit will be given of course.

Go ahead. This wouldn't have been possible without your and Raven's help btw.

funnily enough, there are a few species of creatures called dragons in star trek, such as https://memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/Lake_dragon for an example - none that can breathe fire, as far as i know, however
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

You are forgetting The Animated Series. Dragons that breathed fire appeared at least twice in TAS. None of them were interacted with, of course, but they were present.

And then there was the one-off episode "The Majicks of Megas-Tu" where dragons and demons both appeared, along with magic. (This was the second appearance of dragons. The first was the return trip to the so-called "Shore Leave Planet".)

This is just an extension of that - and I agree with your forum signature, There should be TAS content in STO.
