So on top of the 2 previously announced animated Short Treks some more live action ones are coming including Chaos Theory starring Ethan Peck and Rebecca Romjin as Spock and Number One.

    I noticed that in a clip on YouTube. BUT someone had to throw a damper on that saying that was probably just a nickname because that can still basically mean Number One. I think in some language Una=1. I know Uno in Spanish is 1.

    I agree on that. And I believe that her name was given as Una in a book. Although I think in another book it was something else. Unfortunately we really don't have a hard Canon answer at this time. Until such time... its unfortunately all speculation.

    I know it is.
    At this time it is a Blink and Miss it scene, and outside of that, even she identifies herself as "Number One" after that. I'm not denying that that line exists. I just wish we had something more to work off of that really gives a concrete answer one way or the other.

    You know... so we can finally have evidence for backup. And if it is true... something to give to people who try and say otherwise as evidence. ;)

    I like the idea that she got called Number One because of her name. :p It's weird that in the original no one ever used her actual name. Number One as a position name only makes sense if it's her captain calling her that.
