t6 archon and vizier not coming with wide angle quantum

When a scaling ship unlocks a new weapon slot, does it have the standard weapon already in place or will I need to scrap and reclaim it to get them?

I ask because I just claimed both the T6 Sovereigns and neither of them came with the Wide-Angle Quantum Torpedo Launcher, due to it being in either the 3rd or 4th slot.

    That sounds like a bug for the bug reports subforum, since scrapping the ship will lose you any mastery XP you've earned.

    It might be a good idea to bump the weapons in those closed slots into inventory if they cannot lock them "behind" the seal.

    When you claim the ship, it has weapons equipped only in the slots you can use.

    So a level 65 Captain who claims a T6 ship with a 4/4 load out will have all 8 of the weapon slots filled. This is same as always.

    A level 2 captain claims the same ship, he/she will have 4 weapon slots filled and 2 locked with no weapon in the slot.

    When the level 2 Captain reaches level 10, the first locked slot will unlock but will be empty. Same with all subsequent unlocks.

    Therefore, if you're going to fly an Odyssey and you want 8 beams then you should claim the ship, take the beams.. dismiss it and reclaim it until you have the appropriate number of weapons you need for your maximum level.

    I am not sure if this is how it's intended to behave, but this was how it worked for me when leveling up with a T6 Qugh.

    hey folks i've moved this one to the bug reports area. if it's not coming with this item then that's definitely screaming bug to me. this will give it better exposure for the devs to see it.

    with that said can you get some photos or something to show that the ship isn't coming with the torp?

    update: I have forwarded this on for further review and hopefully a fix. was able to confirm this issue with a lowbie toon on my account.

    Um.. I don't think it's a bug.. but sure. :smile:

    I honestly didn't give it much thought, I just claimed the ship twice and kept the extra weapons in my inventory. I honestly didn't even consider the possibility that the slot was supposed to be populated on unlock.

    Either way, I would still do the re-claim since the ship still comes with the standard nonsensical load outs mixing a single beam, torp, dual beam.. etc.

    Even if it's fixed, I highly recommend anyone leveling in a T6 ship does a reclaim or 2 to make sure you have the weapons you want and are not left to the mercy of whatever cryptic puts in that slot.

    Doing a reclaim on Zen and Dil/Event ships is fine to get the weapons, but what about ships that can't just be reclaimed, such as Lobi ships? So if it isn't a bug, then a disclaimer needs to be put out there, if it is a bug, then it needs fixed so that players who can't just reclaim a particular ship can get the weapons, especially Discovery weapons that add Linked bonuses.

    I went through the entirety of the cstore, lobi ships, promo, and lockbox t6 ships and sent on the ones I could find. If you guys are seeing other ships that are NOT awarding their consoles or items they should be, let me know and I will forward it up the chain along with the ones I already found.

    @darkbladejk My Heavy Escort Carrier (T6) didn't come with its console when I claimed it on a new low-level character.
