Been looking around at the diffrent hangar pets and noticed the Yukawa, which on paper looks like the perfect pets.
But after searching around here on the forum and on reddit, I notice a bunch of old posts from months ago that complain and report the Yukawa pets as being slow and lazy, they don't keep up with the carrier ship and they rarely fire weapons or use their skills.
Since these bug reports are a few months old now, I was wondering if they still apply to the Yukawa pets? Have they been fixed or are they still slow and lazy?

As with a lot of hangar pets they work fine IF they're in range.
Trouble is they doesn't like to follow you so to keep them in range requires manually docking and deploying if any distance exists between groups of ships. Makes them totally worthless for console players who have no access to those controls.
There's been a myriad of threads asking for carrier pets to get fixed with plenty of varying solutions offered up but I doubt we'll see anything close to an improvement while they're busy pimping escorts and associated pewpew style gameplay in the store.
Another issue is that the higher the rank they go, the more dual beam banks they get until they only have dual beam banks. You don't want hangar pets with those because Hangar pets are too stupid to properly use arcs in addition to the many bugs associated with them. And yeah Cryptic just kind of does whatever they want and ignore long standing bugs because they don't care enough to fix them at that moment.
They've always been slow, I think it's more their base stats than any sort of bug. Mine have always used their weapons and torp spreads once in range, and I got them one patch into the Gamma Expansion.
