It's awful! Just like so many fight-die-respawn-repeat aspect of the game, it's boring and frustrating... *Some* player with an all tier XV/epic gear go on trolling on how easy it is, but casual players with a blue/purple tier XII-XIII gear spend the whole round waiting to respawn!

How about quitting the habit of making countless-minions style and fight-die-respawn-repeat style battles, and making challenging yet *FUN* ones??

I have MX12 very rare rep items on ground and didn't die once.

I really liked this TFO actually, its far less annoying then other ground TFOs, and a nice replacement for Breaking the Planet.
... and I played it 4 times with 4 different toons. My last one was the last one standing half of the final stage, and as such, we didn't get any bonus.

By the way, I think anyone who knows what rep gear is will agree that it does qualify for my initial statement, even if it'S not tier XV...

Loved the map - the environment art team did an exceptional job there.

Unfortunately I'm not much of a fan of the mission itself. The first section is way, way, way too long and ends up as nothing but mindless killing baddies, run to next section, kill some more, run to next section, kill some more and so on. Then there's a 5 minute boss fight.

I can understand not wanting the TFO to be too short but 12 minutes for one section doing the same thing is too much. This will be the first event for me that I only take one toon through, and might even end up being the one event I can't be bothered to complete at all

While I love ground content and the environment is really good the overall map is no fun to play. Length is ok but there is to much pointless unfun clicking and running about.

I got there and even though I read/listened to the instructions...I had zero clue what to do. Oh well. I guess I don't need this kit that bad. Sorry to sound like this but how do people figure out how to do these? I'm good at ground combat...I'm just not psychic.

Yeah but you have to blame cryptic for letting the DPS of players get out of hand for so many years. I really don't think they can fix it at this point.

I love the artwork! I think the TFO itself is good, kill stuff, click stuff, boss fight at the end. I'm not sure what lvl I was running the TFO on, but I thought it was a good easy. More difficult lvls may meet the needs of others, but I like this for a quick change of pace. I will take all of my toons through this one.

They could start by making stuff where DPS would be less important than gameplay...

I guess you're right on that. The map is awesomely decorated, though the colourset did gave me nausea at some point.

    Eh.. it's.. ok'ish.. I guess.

It would be ok to play every once in a while, but it's too long and drawn out for a mission that you expect people to run for 2 weeks straight.

It's better then something like Mirror Invasion, but overall I am not a fan. It's easy enough, it's just boring. It fells like I spend most of the time just running from point to point.

It's not terrible, but it's not great.

I bought the 10 commendations from the store so I only have to do it 3 more times and to be honest.. I am not really looking forward to it.

The environments do look cool though.. one thing I never have a complaint about it's the art team. They do great work.
    Insert witty signature line here.

While a good ground TFO, artwork and play style play well. Though, reminds me of the two console parts of Assault on Terrok Nor, defend this one, kill all this while trying to figure out the console sequence, just without having to find the sequence.

The path change up per run is a nice touch. As well as, you can't progress to the next crystal without finishing the one you're on.

As it is, I could see it becoming a mainstay TFO, with increased difficulties. The event one is not a hard as it could be, it's an event after all. So, this like the original Sompek event, basically a play test to seek out bugs and adjust difficulty level.

However, I'm not see it as a replacement for Breaking the Planet. It does make a nice standin for Big Dig. But nothing could ever replace those two, only fill in the blank they've left us with.

This is a step in the right direction for that. Start simple, get people back to where team play is just as important as DPS. A step toward bring back a need for a tank and healer. OR at least we can hope this is the direction they're moving with this.

    What I think? Let's see.
Usually I only run event stuff like this on 1 or 2 toons because I know I'm going to burn out otherwise. This time? I'm up to five already, because my first reaction to completing it was. One. More. Time.

The map is gorgeous and I love the mechanics. It takes some tactics not to mention cooperation to complete if you want all the optionals, but it's not so hard as to be impossible or frustrating if your team is even half way competent and in the case of pugs, able to do teamwork on the fly.
I haven't had this much fun in a TFO in a long time, good work guys.

@ambassadorkael#6946 Quick question. The event vouchers, if we play through on multiple characters, and only do the event voucher turn in for one, will we be able to turn in all of the other characters for the mark reward and such after we complete the 14 day event reward?

    By reading the briefing.

    They point blank tell you
-Destroy agnoziers around the larger crystals
-Place smaller crystals to heal the larger ones
-Terrans will come in and try to destroy the smaller crystals while they are healing the larger ones, stop them from doing so
-Do this will all the marked crystals on the map
-Theres giant blue lines on the ground leading you to said crystals
Its not clear at all at first. I ran to the agnoziers but could not destroy them or place smaller crystals. I figured it out after a while of running in cycles trying to work out why I couldn't interact with anything. But I can see how someone could read the briefing and have no idea what to do. For me there was no giant blue lines until half way though the mission.

    Literally how?
It says run to the agnoziers and large crystal so I did but could not interact with either of them and no explanation of how to. Like I said I figured it out but the briefing was no use.

Also, observation. Even without reading, if you know the first thing about how TFOs in this game usually works, this one isn't hard to figure out. I can see messing up on the first run because everything is new and you're still orienting yourself, but what needs doing is pretty straight forward.
The only thing that possibly isn't is that you really do have to split up into two teams if you want to complete the time optional on the crystal purification part.

Timer are annoying and the whole mission is even more boring then battle of the binary stars. I like to be able to set the pace with my team and not just run down timers. It wont be long before this becomes yet another afk event mission.
C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.

Recently, I tried to run "Khitomer in Stasis" on several of my toons to unlock the Borg BOff. As soon as the map started, we typically had a guy deserting (or going AFK) right away, and a second one deserted after like 5 minutes. When I was grinding Binary Star, I did experience couple guys (typically in carriers) launching their pets before going AFK (Alt+Tab, then going on NetFlix), or turning on some lousy macro resulting in said guy going full steam away from the battle or doing similar maneuvers. I think that's DoctorStegi's point. Soon, we'll begin to experience similar AFK behaviour.

The game play itself isn't horrible, but it's far from fun, for me anyway. I think my biggest issue is finding where to go. I try following the paths on the map only to have them dead end. I missed out on helping with the last 3 crystals because I could not find a way to get to them. I died and had to try to get back to the group and couldn't.

And why is there no XP or drops in this mish? I'm getting as bit tired of running content to get XP and drops only to not get any. The end of mish XP is ok (not great) but getting no XP from the NPC's I defeat really stinks.

After the briefing timer ran out I stood there trying to make sense of the instructions. Thirty seconds later I left the map. That's how NOT obvious it was. Not a troll and not an AFK'er Ever. Maybe someone will post a Youtube video w/commentary. Maybe that will help. Maybe, but this is why I don't do random TFOs. I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but it hurts my brain to have things like TFOs remind me of that fact.

It's okay, with CLEAR instructions in the briefing. Handled it fine, and Turrets and Drones help if you split off. This WILL be an AFK fest.

    The environment was great though.

honestly? It uses the same mechanics as the Anniversary mission, just on a larger scale. Disable agonizers by pushing he button, place crystal, walk to next crystal, oh and shoot any Terrans who try to stop you.

My only gripe is that the "teleport to spire" button pops up at inappropriate times and the first time I hit it by accident and that meant that I wasted time running back to the combat area..

I ran it three times on my Discovery Character. Going to do it on that Character for Marks, the Commendations and will unlock the Grand Prize. Will run it on my 'Main' as well just to build up TFO Commendations for the future (have 13 already on that Character).

The Transport to Spire Button is as annoying as the Leave Caves button used to be in the New Romulus Underground Caves Mission before they fixed it. Though I actually had to use it once when I was finishing off an area and everyone had moved on. It was the quickest way to get to them.

Only did it one time. So far so good. Will need to run it a few more times to make up my mind by my first impression is definitely positive. I hope when the event is over it will find its way to the regular tfo system in different difficulty settings.
