    "In the Beginning"

Jim Kirk wanted to live up to the legacy of his father, George Samuel Kirk.

Jean-Luc Picard used to look into the starry skies over his family's vineyard, and dream.

Ben Sisko was driven by a destiny he didn't understand, and fought for years when it was finally revealed to him.

What led your captain to join Starfleet? And what drove him/her/it to the center seat?

Lyrad is a Bajoran who survived the occupation. He joined Star Fleet before Bajor had joined the Federation. He has progressed through his career by being open to other species and the desire by most to promote democracy and free choice!

"I must decline this mission because..."

Does your captain have morality issues with the assignment? Is it too personal, or too emotionally compromising? Is it outside her area of expertise? Whatever the reason, your captain must convince command she is the wrong person for the job, hopefully without losing her command.

    "The Champion."

Your Captain and First Officer are chosen by the Excalbians to represent Good (or Evil) and give you the option to select two allies from either your ship or your homeworld's history, and four adversaries to represent Evil (or Good). Who does your Captain choose to help champion for your assigned alignment and how do they react to the offer? Who does your Captain choose to fight against and how do they react? Does the enemy warrant study as a historical figure for your Captain to understand or does your Captain have a personal vendetta against this enemy and sees this as an opportunity for vengeance?

    "My life for my ship."

Your Captain has allowed themselves to be taken hostage aboard an enemy ship in exchange for the enemy to spare your ship and crew. How does your Captain deal with the situation? Are they polite and amicable, or violent and belligerent? How does the enemy Captain holding your Captain prisoner treating them? A trophy to be taken back to their homeworld? A slave to be broken? A political prisoner to be held and exchanged?
