Lost dilithium ore

Last night I lost 100k dilithium ore for each of 14 characters and 50k for a lesser developed character for a total of 1.45 million, following a SNR.

First, is this the right place to ask the community questions about how to recover the lost assets?

second, has/did anyone else experience the same sort of thing?

Third, I would appreciate advice on how best to recover it all.

Losing a third of your dilithium ore reserves is not crippling but it stings.

You need to get in touch with Customer Support via the website.

What do you mean by you lost the ore and are you sure that perhaps it didn't get refined somehow? while issues like this can indeed happen, they're extremely rare when they do happen. If this turns out to be a bug either myself or a cohort of mine will move this thread to the bug reporting forum.

When you lose the ore did it give you any kind of error other than the SNR? It's still potentially a bug but if it's straight ore, it's easy enough to replace. refined dilithium is a different story however.

With that said, your best bet is to contact customer service and explain to them what happened. There's not too awful much any of us can do here.

I have maintained a reserve of 300k dilithium ore on each of 14 toons and was building the 15th’s reserves. That’s so there is never insufficient dil to refine each day. It sounds like overkill but there are times when I can’t play much or when I just want to refine the daily amount and then log off. I figure a 40 day reserve is plenty.

So, I also have a really good idea about how much dilithium ore I have on board each toon plus or minus 20k. When you are used to seeing numbers beginning with 3 or mid to high 200k, dropping to low 200k or even below is noticeable.

In this episode I have been AFK for ten days. In hospital.

When I got home I immediately bought the new pack out of 15k Zen. I did not have to use the exchange. I then logged off.

I then returned to commence my usual gaming routine, including doing Personal Endeavours. I got a SNR midway through Crystalline Catastrophe. When I got back into the game and resumed my refining cycle I noticed the loss of dilithium on that toon. I then checked every character and found the same thing on each one.

I have played from launch despite my moniker saying 2013. On the same account.

I have sent tickets over the years but they made that unavailable a few years ago, when Arc took over, I think. The website process seems a bit opaque but I did try. I will try again.

Any other insights would be helpful.

PS it might be auto refining. I don’t think my account has been set up that way. I’m not even sure how to check.

Your questions made me think it might be autorefining, which I had not considered. My account is LTS. Maybe I remembered the refined dil numbers wrong. I have been in hospital for the last ten days or so and things were a bit chaotic leading up to my admission. Plus, I often ignore the broadcast system messages because they flash by too quickly for me to read.

It’s entirely possible I stuffed up and haven’t lost anything. If so, apologies.

You know, a while back I thought a similar thing happened to me where I could have sworn I had a LOT more unrefined dil ore on several characters. I generally keep the amount of refined and unrefined dil in mind in order to decide which characters need a bit more attention.

What usually sticks in my mind is when they hit milestones. I could have sworn that one alt had hit 2.5 million unrefined dil, yet the next time I checked it was down well below 2 million on that alt and various amounts on others. I chalked it up to my imagination, but I also started keeping a weekly log of dil totals (tedious, I know, but I was more concerned about my memory lapse than the dil).

Neither my memory nor my logs have been out of sync with the actual in-game totals since that one incident.

LTS gets up to 7 days of auto-refining so that's 56,000 dil per character. If you had for example 120,000 unrefined dil it would drop to 64,000 so it would be an easy mistake to make.

It sounds like you can ask a mod to close this.
