Stuck in transit to Dyson contested area

Stuck in transit to Dyson contested area after I tried to travel to contested area with spire with my AoD alt.
I had not yet got the mission one got before AoD to that area, since I was running from a small armada of Voth Ships in the mine area.
When I tries to transit from to the contested area the game crashed, and kept on crashing if I tried to log on to that alt.
Error message was that either that map data was wrong version or did not patch.
So I tried to get an old alt to travel to ground contested area with shuttle, with intent to the then beam up to ship and hopefully get new map.
Crash again and another alt trapped in transition.
Not overly happy at the moment.

A test server is supposed to be used to properly test patches before patching anything....

I encountered the same error but on a different map. I was able to find work-around and posted the steps there.
Hope it helps you like it did me and several other players.
