I spent some 'CASH', bought some 'ZEN', took the 'ZEN' to the 'SHIPYARD'!

I bought a 'few' Advanced Escort type vessels in the 'Shipyard'. (The ST: Voy, episode, "Message In a Bottle", has always been one of my all time favorites!)

Anyway, I "totally 'indulged' myself", and now, I have the makings of a "Advanced Escort Squadron".

What I need to know is who in the Shipyard do I see about properly equipping the ships? How do I a advanced escort with shields and firepower?

(Note to 'GAMERS': I am NOT, a 'PvP' user.)

    First things first, which version?
And you can just buy the ship off the C-Store

Okay. Here's what I purchased. Two 'Prometheus' class ships, and one 'Hestia' class ship. And yes, I can, and 'did' purchase the ships from the 'C-Store'. I bought a Prometheus class ship back in 2014, when I had finally leveled up to Vice Admiral (lower-half). I was 'forced', due to major computer damage to suspend my Star Trek Online activity. It took me a considerable amount patient time to buy a new hard drive, and resume my Star Trek Online activity. There has been a lot of changes to the program, since I was involved with it. And the 'defensive' and 'offensive' capabilities of the ships is SERIOULY problematic, to put it 'mildly'.

You don't see anybody in the shipyard to properly equip the ship. Boff abilities are purchased from the boff trainers, the exchange, or crafted. Everything else would be from:
      1. Mission Replay
      2. Reputation gear and/or reputation stores
      3. Crafting
      4. In-game drops
      5. The exchange
      6. Your Fleet's Stores
      7. The dilithium store
      8. Summer or Winter Event stores, event store for some items off any ships earned
      9. The Lobi Store
      Hopefully I didn't miss any.

Hestia is superb, especially at Fleet level.

This is all you need to know to equip your ships. A lot of the mission rewards are outstanding too. You just need to find out which ones best suit your playing style.

A lot of consoles that come with ships are also interchangeable with most other ships, unless otherwise noted in the item description when you mouseover it.

To all of those who 'responded'. Thank you, very much for your detailed information. It's going to take me a considerable amount of time, to decipher, digest, & understand the terms, and jargon, that's normal gamespeak, for you.

So please, bear with this "old geezer", while he get a "gamer's dictionary", okay?

And if you own the Mirror Prometheus (easily obtainable via the exchange, it's the mirror patrol escort), you can use the MU skin on the Hestia

All in all you can buy normal Common weapons at Earth Space Dock in the same area where you purchased your ship.

But ..why..The ship comes with common weapons..Just do missions..If Phaser is what ya want do the Sunrise mission and youll get a decent phaser set..There are also a few mission that reward Very rare weapons (some phaser).

Yes. There are plenty of missions that give quality Mk XII weapons and ship stuff. Enough to make really nice builds for game content.

Or you can go to the exchange and look around, or you can craft your own weapons and ship stuff.
