Weird problems when testing in space

First, it sometimes starts me out by just dropping my ship straight down until it hits the bottom edge and starts to fall apart.

When trying to restart, I'll get in but now my ship turns at a ridiculous speed and my flying doesn't make a difference on turning. Basically, I can't test anything in space.

    That happens sometimes (on ground too though you won't drop) and you just have restart the editor.
