Maybe it has been answered somewhere already but do we get more skill points for those 5 levels?

We are NOT going to get any more skill points for the new levels.

When Delta Rising came out and gave us our first increase in the level cap, we didn't get any more experience to use in the old tree, mostly because specializations were meant to take the place of our progression past level 50.

So when they revamped the skill tree with Season 11.5, they made it clear that Level 50 was the cut off point for the space and ground points and specializations would be the progression system from that point forward. It remains to be seen if we're getting any more specialization points beyond the first that they say we'll be granted and the other new levels we'll get.

Is anyone else curious what type of ship the C.U.V. Tain will be? Will it be a Keldon, Galor, Damar, Ghemor, or Dapata class ship?

Also naming Garek's ship after his father is a nice touch.

Unlike the main skill tree, captains are meant to be able to fill the entirety of all the specs. Filling two of them is one of the Temporal recruit objectives even. You can't do that if you only get 10 spec points. IIRC they said in the live stream that you will continue getting spec points every level, including 61-65, and beyond.

I think you are talking two different issues here. We will (probably) not be getting any more points to put into our skills, so vegeta is correct, but we will (probably) still be getting a spec point with every level up (I count the "new spec points" post 60 - now 65 - as "level ups" too), so mark is also correct.

After thinking about it, given Damar killed Tora Zel I doubt he'd choose a ship named after him, so its between the Ghemor and Depata classes. Garak no doubt got used to a Cloaking Escort during his time on the Defiant so my bet is on the C.U.V. Tain being a Cardassian Depata Intel Escort.

You know if they create more Cardassian ships I wouldn't mind a full Cardassian Carrier.

Anyways I've thinking about why the Klingons and Federation have Cardassian Officers and I remembered that before the Dominion War the peace treaty between the Federation and Cardassians lead to a situation where some Cardassian colonies ended up apart of the Federation, just as some Federation Colonies ended up apart of the Cardassian Union.

After the Dominion War odds are all the Colonies that had ever belonged to the Federation reverted to it, and you know the Klingons would have demanded territorial concessions on the Klingon Cardassian border.

So both the Federation and the Empire would have Cardassian Colonies.

And that is before one conciders that the Cardassian Union is likely a Duel Protectorate of the Klingon Empire and Federation. It would have been the same for the Romulans before Hobus exploded.
