We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 5/24 at 7AM Pacific for 2.5 hours. (What time is this for me?)

    All 4 fixes are good fixes.

    I hope whomever decided for pushing out, too early, that Landing Page relishes their monthly bonus I'm sure they got for it. So far it is just more visual clutter that doesn't add anything that wasn't already there. It will be nice to be rid of: Star Trek Online the Click-Bait episode.

    I hate the Landing Page. I find it utterly useless and a waste of time. I'm happy to hear it's being reduced down to a once a day pop-up, however I also don't like that it will remain part of the ESC menu. If you want people to find it, add it as a tab to the journal or someplace else where it's available, but otherwise can be ignored by people like me. The ESC menu used to be a nice concise menu. RIP, I guess.

    So you think you've fixed the 64bit version of the game? That's great news! Ok, I'll try using that again (starting tomorrow). But if I the CTDs return, I'll head back to 32b. Heh.

    It's presence on the ESC menu means it'll never be once per day for anyone that happens to use esc to try and close windows only to see the menu appear instead or in fact anyone that hits esc to swap to a different character.

    For example, I've been running 7 characters through the MI between f2p and LTS accounts which means I'll be seeing it at least 8 times. Once from the launcher and another 7 for the character swapping assuming the only once from the launcher actually works. I'll reiterate AT LEAST 8 TIMES because hitting esc to close things like the character window or pve queue will often not close them but simply popup the menu until you button mash a few times.

    Its a step in the right direction BUT it's not a true fix and never will be until the esc menu is reinstated as it was before the obnoxious lander arrived.

    I am not happy with the stuff being left on the ESC menu. It has no place there unless you want to hide it behind a button to bring back up the landing page.

    I signed in just to add my voice to those displeased with the landing page. I don't need visual clutter when I log in OR when I just want to bring up the menu. Please add an option to get rid of it entirely.

    I certainly don't love the thing, but it did streamline the Featured Episode replay process by a lot. If you use the Landing Page link, it brings up the contact window, and accepting from there automatically transwarps you to the mission start, which is NOT
    something that was already there.

    The thing is visually intrusive, for certain, but it does add at least a small bit of functionality to the game.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    It's VERY worth complaining about if you switch between ALTs a lot. Please remove it from the ESC menu! If you're going to options or to switch characters or to exit the game, the LAST thing you need is in-game links! Leave that to the Launcher or Mission pages where they belong.

    For me its more then mildly annoying it causes unnecessary extra pain and discomfort for zero benefit. Plus it goes against 8+ years of muscle memory.

    I don't have a problem with well designed landing pages like the one in The Division. I had zero complaint when that game had one added. Its the STO version that is badly designed.

    So, in other words, the one person here who doesn't think it's worth complaining about still finds it mildly annoying. That's as positive as the feedback has gotten.
    Plus it goes against 8+ years of muscle memory.
    And this is the major reason why it's so aggravating.

    Sincerly hope the 64 bit issues have been resolved..As soon as I see performance issues I switch back to 32 bit..

    Gotten used to the slashe screen..Pops up and my finger is already on esc and boom go away and move along..But its annoying when you switch characters multiple times..How about have it once at the character select screen instead of popping up when logging in to ever character??

    Being left bound to esc key was to be expected. Its the perfect way of having this pop up in your face everytime you log off or change character. So in reality for me who has 28 characters to manage it only reduces my ability to see this page as I reset Admiralty/Doffing/Refine dil/R&D by 49%. So as usual Cryptic you feel half a job done is a job well done.

    I'm kind of tempted to start a poll to find out how many people use ESC to try and close windows in the game.

    I don't really find it even mildly annoying. Click it off, go about my business. No worries. Random CTDs and SNRs are much more annoying to me than a small window that's easy to click off.

    When I use it to close windows I never get the esc menu. I don't always use it to close windows, but when I do, no problems.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    I wonder who the landing page is for? Must be new players. OK. But what does it really add for them?

    Maybe it is a light to guide them out of the exploration nebulae.

    It would be better if it had up-to-date information. When I logged in yesterday, none of the events going showed up there.

    I have a lappy but I don't think I saw incorrect looking textures throughout the game.

    I guess it's there for people who don't keep up with sto news but if they are not going to update it frequently, it is pointless. Like the Phoenix and XP event, it should have been on the landing page but wasn't.

    We're still taking feedback on the landing page, and more changes will likely come.
