Building Shield Stripping / Plactating Monster

Right now i have my Miracle Worker TAC set up with mass crit beam arrays...... As it is excellent for PvE, it is no match for the Pilot Ships flying in Kurat, they just ZIP in and out of weapons range and wind up melting our bigger SLOW moving ships, that why im going to build a Sciense sentric built to move in...... De-cloak..... Hit em with Miracle Worker Plactate, Tractor Beam 3, deploy the Anti-Pilot manuver pylon 3 ...... Hit em with both Tacion Beam 1 AND Quantum Phased Destablizing Beam from the Quantum Phased 3 piece set, followed up by Torpedo High Yield 1 Quantum Phased Torp to further strip Shields........ Then unload on them with Quantum Phased Dual Heavy Cannons AND Dyson Proton Weapon under Cannons Rapid Fire 3....... Finish them with Grav Torp under Torp Spread 2.
Right now i got the following crafted items:
Epic Crafted Deflector [CrtlX] x5 (Puts out 80 crtlx, 20 EPG, 10 DrainX
Epic Crafted Combat Impulse [Turn] x5
Need recomendations from yall to fill 5 Science Consoles, 4 Enginering, 3 TAC ....... to really make the Quantum Phased Destablizing Beam and Tacion Beam BURN down there Shields...... Now using 2 types or even 3 types of Exotic Beams, will that deminish there power...... Or will it be more efective using just 1 type ?
Then i was thinking about Shields, so far from what I can see The Reman Resiliant Shields, or a Crafted type, keep in mind when i De-cloak i will have a bunch of Borg firing at me with Plasma Beams & Plasma Torps, as i am figuring all the Pilot Ships in Kurat are using Crafted Resiliant Shields [Pla]x2 or 3 for Borg survivability..... Please post recomendations below...

    PVP in Kerrat is ..Well..great if you want to learn..but there is a steep learning curve..Assume..the person fireing on you has
    1.) All Epic Gear
    2.) Maximized Mods for Cannons (traits..ect)
    3.) Expect to take you out in 1 or 2 passes (but are ok with 3-5 lazy passes)
    4.) Know that they will not be in your sights for long due to your much slower speed.
    5.) Are aware of Science abilities and limitations and will either have High Rez and debuff removers or just fly Faster..
    6.) They out fly Torpedos.

    So..In a BIG SLOW ship vs Kerrat <b>Veterans<b> in Escorts doing well over 350+ flight speed, you'll need to be as fast as them just to make stuff work...And if there is more than 1...You'll be a smoking crater before you touch off all your abilities to see if it even hurt the zippy guys.. The major problem with Science these days (outside of maybe high drain) is mostly limited to a fixed (easily clearable theses days) location (Aoe Dot) or within 5km around your ship (TBR or Tractor beam)...Plus all the resistances to Physical and Kenetic these days..

    So you've kinda got a problem..You in a Miracle worker warbird your too slow..and ...Your all over the map for science stuff..

    Grav Torp secondary damage is EPG..
    Tachyon is DrainX..
    Quantum Phase Torp is Drain (its better under torp spread)
    Tractor Beam/TBR are EPG abilites
    Your Crafted Deflector is boosting CntrlX and only minimally Drain and EPG..(The 2 main types your using).


    Drain abilities like Tachyon Beam need Very high DrainX to be useful...But the Quantum Phase torpedo is waay better at shield stripping than this ability..Might want to switch it out for something else.

    The Qphase beam is a Subsystem Drain vs a Shield drain.. Somewhat harder to counter depending on the opponents resistances (How much Drain X they have directly affects how much you ACTUALLY draw from their subsytems.)


    Personally..Id ditch Engines..Shields...and Deflectors that are crafted.. Rep/Fleet gear is where its at..If you want Moar Drain..the Fleet Research base has DrainX2 consoles that are..+60 Drain each..Or Hybrid consoles that boost 2 Science skills (like EPG and DrainX)..

    Youd want to be around 600+ Drain to overcome the resistances of an Escort at 300 drainX...But remember Miracle worker spec has built in drain counters..Tykens 3 ,Esiphon and Polaron Procs(like those found on polarized disprutors) are subsystem Drains.

    There are no "Exotic" beams..as those would be boosted by EPG and not Tactical Energy consoles.. All Energy damage console resists ALL energy types..including Proton..
    In a sci ship you aren't really using your conventional weapons for damage anyways (need the Aux power)

    Nope..Gotta grind for em..Take advantage of the weekend or other event stuff..Usually you can select marks from those.. Some reps allow you to convert marks into the ..other item you need for rep stuff...Take time but worth it.

    It's worth 120M.

    You'll find that out when you try and craft one. First of all, there is no guarantee that the item will be UR quality to begin with, so that's the first hurdle. Then, if you do get lucky enough to pop an UR, you have a random chance at getting the exact mod you want.

    I was in a similar position a while back with a character that needed a Conductive RCS. I wanted the Conductive RCS with the EPS Mod and they're insanely expensive (back at this time, they were 200M+) so I figured I would try and craft one. I tried for a week and then I gave up and bought one off the exchange.

    You personally might value it at 14M, but there is zero chance that anyone is going to sell you one for that. Getting that combination on a crafting roll is the holy grail, it won't be cheap.

    Similar? There are no Fleet Consoles @ +75 EPG..There is a DrainX console thats+62 at Epic but thats is it..

    120Mil for a Field Exciter..Yea..Worth Every Penny (RnGods do not like me..Got mine when they were 75mil)..But if your a Rom you can mostly get way without it with the Temporal Singularity cores +40 Epg.

    If ya think its worth if go for it..(I dunno about ..Better for less but that my opinion)..But with it I can Hit nearly 620 EPG with 305 Drain..

    I do and have 2 of these. 1 on a Fed Toon 1 on a Rom..More so I can get stupid high EPG numbers on 1.

    There are players Ive seen that are nearly invincible and require 2 or more of the SAME HIGH SKILL LEVEL to take out.
    ...With high enough drain..its actually really easy to wipe out someones shields...Hull (possibly Zhal AND Walker console) not so much..

    well as far as Tanking Up........ I'm sure a lot of newbs ask this, What is a good arrangement for 4 Engineering Consoles, aside from the Engineering Abilities, I got a Lt. Commander station Engineering/Temporal Opps, what is a good arraignment of skills to keep my ship survivable as I'm Draining and Placating them....
    So far I got fleet Nutronium/max hull, Monotainium/Hull regen, Trilithium Console, need 1 more.
    And no im not getting the Trilithium set as this would mess up my build, .

    Well..Epg can be used..Problem is its All but 1 or 2 are basically a DOT, which season vets will either pop DPRM or Lukari console..or ..My favorite..Just Fly out of range (5km from the ship or outside of the Hazard).

    Placates chiefly affect their ability to target you. Most are very easy to clear.

    The problem is how you see the problem. If your goal is to cause grief to these "zippy pilot ships", basing your whole build around shield stripping and placate are not the way to go.

    Placate is what THEY are going to be using against YOU as a defensive tactic. It's mostly useful for small, fast ships that can't absorb a lot of damage. Placate is not gonna do diddly against them.

    As far as shield stripping, it's not gonna help when you can't even hit your target. With all the DPS and power creep in the game now, making a build based around this is not really a thing anymore.

    There are things that will cause those players tremendous grief - I have encountered them in combat and wish I could name them all, but half the time I don't even know what it was that hit me. Stuff like constriction anchor come to mind, but that one is old. Anything that causes them to not be able to move, or slows them down is what will make them vulnerable. I once had my ship completely stopped in core assault pvp, and I couldn't activate anything to escape, I have no idea what they were using but that was instant death for me.

    Only problem i have now is getting my forward Arc on them to Fire the Salvo of Nutron Torps once i actually get thier Shields down.

    Now i just need a KDF team mate in a Cloaked Torpedo Boat to lay down Salvos of Critty Quantum Torps with the Pen mod upon them once their Shields are down........ I dont think anything can survive that........ Reguarless how much you tank up AND strength & Healing Abilities you use.

    The Energy type is phaser ...or Disrptor..or Poloron for the special free stuff (Quantum Phase, Chronometric..ect) They just dont keep the standard proc.

    Carrier pets do nadda damage so I wouldnt worry too much.
