Question about carriers in this game

I want to play carrier in this game,
since its concept sounds fun for me...

Though I know that I have to be at certain level to get carrier, but what kind of captain that fits for it?
Engineering, or Tactical or Science?

    You can do any captain. Probably Tac is best (or course people say Tac is best for anything because of Attack Pattern Alpha).

    Back in the day when Sci Captains were the only ones that could get super-buffed on Sci powers they would be best in a Sci-heavy ship, but now anyone can.

    the way i've heard classes these days described recently is thus: they each give you various benefits, but one way or another, tac captains can get much of the things that engi and sci captains get if you put in the playtime/money, while engi and sci captains can not get the things that tac captains get.
    *shrug* play which you like best.

    The difference between captains has been watered down to barely a handful of abilities that still remain unique such as photonic fleet or miracle worker (old name they stole for the specialisation)

    I fly carriers on my Rom ENG, my KDF TAC, and my KDF SCI. They all do exactly what I expect them to do: entertain me while I play STO. You forgot to ask the most important question. Which is one only you can answer for yourself. This question is:

    What looks like it will be the most fun?

    Keep in mind that there are carriers for each of the classes. I personally have been using the Klingon Carrier because it is the only one I've seen that you can get for free. I like it with my sci character and recommend trying it first.

    IMHO the best carrier in the game is the temporal dread followed by scimitar. only one hangar but the thing is a beast. for full carrier JHDC.
