freedom of speech is for the US about government censorship... this is a private forum so your freedom goes as far as what the admins allow. as for rng and lock boxes odds... write to your congressman/senator and have em pass legislation...
OP, just drop the matter. @starswordc, please can you close this before it becomes a flame
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

I am personally happy with RNG. I already have an idea of the odds, and it's not what the youtube videos or player pics claim, because I understand the programming of RNG. 'Exotic' lockbox ships are supposed to ultra-rare on purpose, otherwise they would be in the C-Store!
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
As for getting rid of RNG's in games... NEVER going to happen. Blizzard pretty much rely on an RNG to keep people playing D3. Likewise games like the XCOM series or indeed that entire genre.
Best you can hope for is they publish the drop/win chances and stop stuffing the gambleboxes with junk.
if we got the ship ones a buyable acc. unlock would be nice.
... do not have thousands to put into a video game for a random unrevealed chance at winning. And in addition the grind for some ships can take forever and some people like myself do not have the time to grind for a long time...
25€ p. month would be fine , buy low - sell high dil. , and infinity boxes and you get everything for free with little effort ...
I am not trolling I am dead serious about this matter!
still against forum rules, like I clearly said earlier, drop the matter @baddmoonrizin

Going to try and be respectful here, apologies if I fail.
Would I like better odds at getting ships from lockboxes or the Phoenix packs? Sure I would. But, I can live without those ships as long as they continue to essentially give away 3 free T6 ships every year with the Anniversary, Summer and Winter events. They also on occasion give away older T5 ships for special reasons and I'm very happy about that.
Considering you can get almost EVERYTHING in this game for zero real money spent if you're willing to put in the time, I believe it's just a matter of if you think spending that time working towards a goal is worth it or not. Spending money will obviously speed things along, but never spend more money than you are willing to lose. These are all digital items, and someday, hopefully in the far distant future, the game will shut down and everything that players paid for will simply cease to exist.
I get being frustrated when you spend time or money and don't get something you want. However, blaming a company for trying to make money, and not in a completely dishonest way, mind you, because you spent more time/money than YOU feel is right, doesn't make you right. You chose to spend your resources in this manner, the company didn't make you.
If you don't like how the more rare items in the game are harder to get, hence them being rare, perhaps this is not the type of game for you.
Hello. My name is iamynaught and I am an altaholic.
You don't want to spend money on keys? Then don't. I buy all mine with EC - they're in the Exchange. Haven't won anything good yet from the boxes, but then again I understand the concept of random chance, so I'm not counting on anything, just hoping occasionally. (Of course, when I finally gather together enough Dil to buy 1500 Zen I can get that new Starter Pack that gives me, among other things, a 2 billion EC cap, so I can finally gather enough EC to just buy the ships I want directly from the Exchange...)
Also, as I think about the second post in this thread noted, "Freedom of Speech" in the US descends from the First Amendment to the US Constitution, and applies to governmental bodies attempting to shut down certain opinions. This, however, isn't government-run, but rather a privately-owned forum, and they're within their rights as the owners to shut down any doggone thing that they please.
Maybe someday, the odds of winng the top prize will be required when opening lock/R&D boxes. But until that happens, making demands like whatvthe OP has done is mot going to do anyhthing productive on gorums.
Oh, and while we are on the subject of hash-tags...

Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.
Buy keys with zen, sell keys for credits on the exchange, buy ship. No gambling needed.

The drop rates are a public secret and not likely to change until protons start to decay.
Yup... not gonna end well. Someone else got hit after circumventing a thread close even after making the topic less aggressive.
