Any one else wish they’d change the sound of the red antiproton weapons. The sound of them drowns out almost everything and wearing earphones can be almost deafening lol.
I don't have that problem on my tac Romulan and her scimy. Things die to fast for the sound to be a problem. You could always switch weapon types though. I'm putting together a set of disruptors for my Romulan to use eventually.
Been a while since someone complained about them but you weren't the first one and I'm sure you won't be the last one either.
There are a lot of AP types though most of them lose their innate +CrtD for some extra proc. So if you wanna stick with AP you still got options.
Still, nothing is worse than a constant barrage of TOS phaser beams.

I got to admit the tos beam sounds are also my least favourite but I don’t think changing them would please many people lol. If they were able to change the sound of the red antiproton I’d have to use an example from stargate when they get the beam weapon tech added to the ships, well something similar am not sure how copyrights and that work fully

We even have a 'Stargate' somewhere in game. Elachi Dreadnaught looks like a Cylon BaseStar from old BSG. Lukari dranuur looks like a Cylon Raider. So you be wrong about not getting anything from Stargate or other sci-fi shows. It already has happened. And there is nothing wrong with that.

There are lots of references to other stuff (though the APU design is canon from Voyager so not an SG-1 reference), far beyond anything you mention, for example, many of my characters have Verne Brown, son of Emett Brown PHD. In their Doff crew (BTTF).
What we do not and will not ever have, and what my previous statement actually meant, is that we will never see Ga'uld that are called that, look like snakes, and make their hosts eyes glow. We will never see Nietchiens (very sad about that as they came from Roddenberry also), we will never see Kzinti even though they have been in Trek. We may see references, homages, etc but we will not see those properties of other IPs themselves.
I was just pointing out some things are already in-game that can be referenced to them. Sure you won't get anything official but still pretty damn close. You can make a pretty convincing Asgard, SG-1, Jaffa, or Goa'uld. I have seen pretty bizarre things made by players from other franchises in-game by using their creativity.

Krieger Wave Disruptor look and sound better while being a true red colour. Only downside is their proc being accuracy.

I have an issue with the pulse phasers. They sound like they are from an 80's space invaders game. I would love them to sound like the pulse phasers from WOK. Same with the ground assault phasers, they need to sound like they did in Star Trek VI.
Weren't the vorlon and undine ships in the respective shows were designed by the same folk.
The ones I'm not a fan of are the really weedy kelvin spitters that the jarjar dread comes with, hail on a conservatory roof doesn't really work for an energy weapon.

Foundation Imaging did a lot of visual stuff in both Babylon 5 and Startrek

I would love a Star Trek game that is based off the first 10 levels of the TOS faction missions. That would be an unbelievably epic game. Or a graphical version of the Begin Tactical Starship simulator game with the TOS assets for the graphics.
while you talk about homages, I saw a graphic on here somewhere that was a schematic of Voyager.. it had a Tardis incorporated in the schematic. i don't know if it is in the VIY interior or not.
