How to make my ship go faster

So I'm on the grind for credits at the moment and am doing the Tour The Galaxy. With my current set up and route I always miss out on 2. So I was wondering if someone could me out in making my ship go faster (does anyone else now have Jeremy Clarkson in their head? Anyway.....)

So what I have is:

T6 Tactical Command Battlecruiser
Assimilated Subtranswarp Engines (Mk XII)
Deuterium-Stabalised Warp Core (Mk XIV - Epic)
Polaric Modulator (Mk XIV - Epic) Engineering console
RCS Accelerator (Mk XIV - Epic) Engineering console

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you for your time :)

Add diplomatic immunity and that's pretty much as fast as your ship gets. The only other option would be using a ship with a better/faster slip stream.
Also you might want to look up a different route since it's also possible that your's might not be 100% optimized.

I use Aegis Eng at Epic plus Temporal Core to get a cruise speed of 22.9. It's faster than Assimilated Eng at Epic, which is 22.4. This is presuming you have the Sci skill Sector Speed Boost selected. I also use C-Store Oddy as it has in-built faster and longer Slipstream. Use the Polaric modulator and the Trait Lead Foot for even faster Slip. There's also plenty of cores you can add for reduced cooldown and/or slipspeed bonus.

All I could suggest is to try the order listed in Mission: Tour the Galaxy.

Alas, I could make your ship go faster in system space, but sector space...the only suggestion I have is to lower your slipstream cd as low as possible...

...or if you don't mind cutting into your tour profit, go through your missions and see what mission transwarps bring you closest to a certain area

Edit - ...and thats why my fastest (red...and 2365 impulse in a staight line..could go faster if I made a 100% speed build, but my caveat is its a elite capable ship) ship is called Da Red Wun

(Oh how I long for a t6 corvette... the Xiyfius is almost as good though..)

I think the fastest ship out there for Touring the Galaxy has to be a Dauntless class. The extra time in slipstream with an optimal route...well, just hang onto your hat!

Put speed holes in your ship, they will make it go faster.

Your parts are fine though an Obelisk Warp core would help a bit, but the path to take is problematic with most of the current walkthroughs try this I edited an old map, crudely in a few second but it should give you an idea on the way to go and when to use your slipstream, just manage your sharper turns by dropping your speed when you hit a planet then change your heading and go full throttle again. Another tip is to place a slipstream button on your hot bar so you can see the cooldown timer. Also make sure you have a purple astrometrics doff in you active bar with a 200% cooldown to transwarp abilities for this map. https://imgur.com/CCRNN43

I think the best built-in Quantum Slipstream drive currently is in Miracle Worker ships:
Cyclical Quantum Slipstream Drive is a built-in ability which allows improved Sector Space travel speed of 107.8 (approx Warp 23) for 90 seconds instead of normal 30 seconds. Re-initializing it takes 30 seconds instead of normal 120 seconds.
If you put the Obelisk Warp core in - the cooldown should drop to 15 sec - i think

Personally Having the right route works wonders, i run it on a risan luxury liner with just a base assimilated impulse a obi warp core and the polaric modulator, and with diplomatic i run it fine with 30s to spare.

A further breakdown of routes. Aside from Diplomatic Immunity and Raiding Party, a full Vesta console set will help with maneuvering while under slipstream.

Obelisk Warp Core at UR and Epic MACO Impulse. Miracle Worker will give you 4x the amount of Slipstream time, but two piece T5 Vesta gives faster Slipstream. Lead Foot Trait. Throw in an Astrometrics Doff to further cooldown Transwarp, Polaric Modulator. For further Transwarp cooldown the Console from the Advanced Heavy Crusier.

Pour laxatives into your warp core.

And in your first officers coffee for those boring in between missions moments. =3

^ The T6 Dauntless is what I used back in the day and it worked quite well. There is a console/ability that performs "jumps" in sector space that works in conjunction with Quantum Slipstream. Can't recall the name of it off the top of my head though.

I sit and yell at it so it goes faster. As for Bore of the Galaxy I just do the entire Alpha quadrant then a bit of Beta. Though the Bore is only really a supplement.

I personally used the vesta with its two piece console bonus, the obelisk core, Borg impulse engine, polaric console and lead foot trait. I can finish both alpha and beta quads with a couple minutes to spare. The new miracle worker ships are good for this as well.

Ok.. the real secrete to making your ship go faster in STO.

        Step 1: Get a tribble.
Step 2: Breed the tribble with an alcoholic beverage and a big beef berrito supreme from Taco Bell. I used Romulan Ale on my Romulan.
Step 3: Dump the new tribbles in to the warp core.
        Step 4: ...
        Step 5: VAAARROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

These tribbles also make great torpedoes.
Green people don't have to be.... little.
