This new feature announcement is getting to be too old news. Come on Devs spill out the beans...time is up and yeah you killed your own suspense for rolling this out as a leak.

I too would love a Pet Tab. But we also need a means of balancing the Dilithium economy. Endgame doesn't mean stockpiling resources and just sitting on them.

Remember that Seasons, half-Seasons, and Expansions drop on Tuesdays, not Thursdays. Infinity Lockboxes stop and a new one premiers later that day after patching.

Apparently, yes it does. Because the only thing the endgame rewards is dilithium (or something that gets converted into dilithium) and there's nothing you actually need to get with it. In fact, when it all comes down to it there's nothing of much practical use at all to buy with dilithium, simply because the only thing the endgame rewards is dilithium and that's now easy to get from Admiralty without playing at all.
It's a negative feedback loop. You don't need dilithium because all you can get is more dilithium, which you don't need. That's why the dilex doesn't come down much anymore even with big sinks like the colony. Lots of people look at it and say, "I don't need anything from there." I myself have only built it for the cosmetics.
And tossing in this boring DPS bait doesn't change that one bit. It's just another thing made easier, again. Another thing nobody really needs. I do even expect the DPS people sinked more dil getting their "perfect" weapons the hard way than this will.

Yep. To make it more like canon, they ought to swap the terms Lobi and GPL.
You can actually buy ships with Lobi in-game and other rare items, making it a high end, sought after currency. GPL on the other hand, is pretty much a cosmetic tender, that is very easily obtained. This puts it right on par with how Lobi in the series was portrayed - almost as common as dirt, lol.
In this game, you're likely to get a scarf for that amount.
