The Kamarag

Read so much about, so I skipped all the missions between where I was and Temporal Ambassador when I reache lvl 16 on my first KDF-toon, got the T3 one, and fell in love with the looks and everything else of it at that lvl. Now I read about that there was a T5 option back when before I was playing. And I was reading about that Feds got the chance to account-unlock their equivalent of the Kamarag during a giveaway some time ago. Why didn't that happen for the KDF? Other than to drive away players that love that faction?
I'd forego any hard feelings, if there'll be a T6 Kamarag...

    I would love to have C-store access to a T-6 Kamarag. I do not buy the gamble or fleet ships that do not unlock for all characters on an account.

    I do not know why the KDF faction did not get the freebie for the Kamarag at the same time the Feds received their equivalent 3 year anniversary ship (Ambassador ??). Though, I would not be as happy with a T-5...but if that is the best they would do for the faction.

    I will just have to call them names behind their backs....I will visit Mek for pointers.

    The Kamarag is a fine ship indeed for the KDFs. I like it's look & it functions well though there's not much use for the current offered version besides Admiralty fodder. I think a T6 Kamarag would be most welcomed for the KDF side.

    The gifting of a T5 Ambassador I think I had read corresponded with an event at the time. It would be nice if Cryptic attempted to operate more fairly for all it's players/customers, but sometimes I'm sure there are reasons & then sometimes Cryptic just doesn't seem to care after they get your money. Perhaps they'll offer T5 Ambassador & Kamarag versions again in the future. I'm sure T7s are in the planning stages already for later this 2017 or 2018. LOL

    Well I'm flying the T3 at the moment, and levelling my first Klingon came to a halt because I don't want to leave the lvl 20-29 range and say good bye to this beauty.

    if your in a fleet you can get a t -5 version which is upgradable to t-5u.

    it'll cost you 5 fleet modules, but you can get it. and it is very science heavy.

    andd personally I hope as part of all the tng stuff their doing they'll have a t-6 ambassdor/ Kamarag for next year anniversary ship.

    I'm all for a T6 version of this ship. Would like to see the hull get a little bulkier than the current look.

    Well it's true it might be a little easier t make a distinct sci battlecruiser layout at T6 for the Kamarag than another tac heavy cruiserish ship. So who knows, perhaps a T6 Kamarag is more likely than a T6 Vor'cha.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    I agree with your conclusion, if not reasons, because the Kamarag's Fed Oppo is the Ambassador-class; the last Enterprise variant not to get a T6 treatment. Watch for it in a 3-pack when they finally get around to the Ambassador.

    t5u Kamarag and Vor'cha are both fine ships. I could see a t6 version of either ship fulfilling the rolls of both, provided they had a way of having a ltc Sci, whether hybrid, or universal, or what not. I have t5u versions of both on my account.

    I will say I like the look of the Kamarag more. My Tor'kaht is a hybrid of all the available parts a uses the MU Hull Material, just because. But Vanilla look, I like the Kamarag more, aesthetically.

    The KDF got the Varanus as a giveaway at the same time Starfleet got the T5 Ambassador.

    Given the rarity of KDF science ships, and the fact that the Varanus can be upgraded to T5U, in my opinion, the KDF got the better deal.

    I'm gonna have to disagree with that. the varaas is easier to get and anyone can get it from the c-store, with the Kamarag not having a promo you have to get the fleet version to use it at t-5, and you have to be in a fleet to do that it. the kamarag is a rarer and in most areas a better ship. kdf got the shorter end on that giveaway. granted not by much.
