As for now we got almost with every expansion some new fleet holding, with Legacy of Romulus a Embassy and with Delta rising a Krenim Temporal Research Lab, which one would fit for TOS era best but be functional for 25th century, as we have Chekov as temporal agent, so AoY seems important to get its fleet holding, or no?
Which new fleet holding would be interesting to see? 31 votes

A Trading Station, Listening Post, or an Exploration Base are all possibilities that haven't been used yet. Although, I would still recommend the Colony since it seems like the more interesting option.
None of the above...How about A BORG theme holding
I like your idea and the given options very much OP, just not as fleet holding. I think the game is ready for an account wide player’s “housing” where such stuff could be implemented and played/payed for.
That way everybody would be treated equally and fairly while under the current system a minority covers the back of countless freeloaders.

A ship yard could be nice, and it would help in making the storyline with all the conflicts and losses a bit more believable.
A colony is also a good idea, but I imagine that it would have to be huge for a fleet holding and we should probably wait for this until we have some sort of exploration system, which would make a great combination. No more TOS stuff please though.
Whatever this holding would be, it would be nice if there was a reason to keep visiting it, and not just to buy gear but also for daily exploration missions for example or because we could actually help building the holding and see the changes over time. It would have to be something long-term, not just something you work on for a season.
No to Yorktown base STO doesnt need a death star sized holding that would be way bigger than our actual fleet base plus it would make no sense.

I'd personally love to see the Kelvin Yorktown starbase added but I doubt it would actually be made as it would probably be way too big and complicated to build in the game.
Do I even want to know what this is... ?
One of the reasons I rarely visit the Embassy is because all the basic services are spread out over the entire holding. The Spire, for example, is a much better place to visit if you need to do something quickly.
What I would expect from a land-based holding is that it also has an exterior, much more like the staging area of New Romulus or the Reman area. Some rooms in the Embassy are nice, but I'd like to see a bit more if they ever release a colony holding.
As well, Trading posts would grant a fixed discount to Exchange purchase costs that only affects the player buying. The players selling still get back the full cost of what they put the item up for. T1 would grant a 10% Discount. T2 a 20% Discount. T3 a 30% discount. Or if Cryptic feels that's too steep, T1 grants a 5% Discount, T2 a 10% Discount, and T3 a 25% Discount. The Discounts DO NOT STACK, so the most you'd get discounted are either 30% or 25%.
The other Tier line discounts Dilithium costs of Dilithium store items by a similar amount, and DO NOT STACK. So T1 @ 5%, T2 @ 10%, T3 @ 25%, or if that could unbalance the Dilithium market some, T1 @ 5%, T2 @ 10%, and T3 @ 15%. It does not have an affect on the Dilithium Exchange, as that is directly tied to Zen.
The colony holding is a great idea, but I'm wondering what kinds of services it would uniquely have that the other fleet holdings wouldn't have. Maybe a more independent trader/civilian-oriented marketplace?
Seconded.
