Cruisers & Engineering Consoles (Turn Rate)

Hey all,

Torn between an escort and a cruiser part of the thing that will help me decide is my question.

How "easy" is it to obtain engineering consoles, engines to help with the turn rate of a cruiser, to make it come fairly close to what a Miranda can do? I know people don't like not having the option for engineering consoles but to have it for turn rates to compensate for a cruiser's maneuverability but I don't mind so much.

Thanks for any input.

It's easy to get +turn consoles. And it's easy to pump aux to improve your turn rate.

That being said, your cruiser will never be considered nimble...especially as you push up into the higher tiers.

I can deal with that. I just would like a turn rate close to a Miranda's; not asking for an escort like experience with em :)

Consoles aren't too difficult to get, if you are doing explore or PvP for the badges.

In beta, Fed cruisers turned like beached whales in the upper tiers. However, there is nothing that says you can't have both, and switch between them when you like.

You will not be able to slot enough bonuses to turn rate plus power to aux to offset the slow speed of a high tier cruiser, at least using the beta stats.

I think you can own up to 8 ships at a time.

You will never get a Galaxy to be as nimble as a Miranda. The Connie and Heavy...maybe.
