Serious Rubberbanding/Memory Leak Issues

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned or not, but I'm having serious rubberbanding issues, and I'm wondering if it's got to do with some sort of memory leak.
I'll be fine playing along one minute, and the next the controls stop responding, and everything just stops functioning. Then it will stutter a bit, then it will rubberband me all the way back to where I was before. You guys might want to look into this.
Not sure if it's a hardware or software incompatibility issue. I have an Nvidia GeForce G0 7590, with the most up to date drivers. The game seems to work fine for long periods of time, but then just bounces back. I've noticed this on both land and space missions.
