I'm not sure if this a bug or if my understanding of what it is suppose to do is just wrong, BUT....
When I click the "Log out" button, I get a confirmation screen asking me to verify if I want to log out of this character. I click "Yes" and then I get booted out of the game and have to wait for a server window to open to get back on. I would expect this if I selected "Exit" as that would make sense.
I think it would make more sense to either get rid of the "Log out" button altogether if its intended function is to exit the game as it does currently. Or fix it so when I click "Log out" I wind up at my "CHaracater" screen and can switch toons without exiting the game.
My apologies if this is a known issue and a thread already exists. If that's the case, I guess I didn't look hard enough.
