Item information display error?

When looking at a lot of items, particularly kits, there seems to be some kind of display error. For instance, the tactical officer grenade kit has about three paragraphs of information that don't make any sense or have any relevance that I could note to the actual power, and not much description of what the power actually does. Similarly, a lot of items have an 'AI Command' section, which neither I nor the people I've been playing the game with have been able to figure out. I'm really enjoying the game so far, but this lack of transparency, whether or not it's intentional, is certainly making it more confusing to play.
