mission comms during battle sequencing stops ability to fight

I'm not really sure if this qualifies as a showstopper or a bug, But its extremely annoying and aggrivating. During several missions that include massive battle sequences, I've recieved comms from various officers stating what I need to do next repeatedly. During this time, my engines stop, I cannot fire, I cannot see the majority of the screen, I cannot maneuver, and most of all I cannot get rid of the window that blocks everything. And it continuously re-pops over and over until my ship is destroyed. The NPC's however, are able to continue killing me while i have to sit and look at these windows re-pop until I die again and again. This only happens in space, not on the ground. I quit playing earlier than I intended to because of this issue. It was either stop playing or toss my keyboard out the window. I chose to keep my keyboard.:mad:
