Can No Longer Mount Fore Phaser Arrays

I ran into an odd issue, that I /bug'd but was wondering if anyone else ran into it.
At some point during the Hide and Seek mission in the paulson nebula I noticed my Fore phaser array in my starting cruiser stopped working. The icon has a little X in the lower right hand corner.
I've tried the following to correct the issue.
Swapping phaser from left fore slot to right fore slot
swapping aft and fore phaser arrays
buying mark II arrays and equipping those
unassigning all BOffs
Rearranging my trays
Switching tray views
restarting the game client
I haven't picked up any disruptor drops yet, so I haven't tried substituting those. But if I equip dual photon launchers, the problem does not persist.
Likewise if I mount dual phaser arrays neither of them will work and both end up with the X in the corner.
Not sure if it's something that bugged out or I hit an errant keyboard command or what.
