Yup..Cuz..PVP can get very deep (expensive) very fast.. Friendly 1v1's with fleeties are fine and you might do ok.
Kerrat or some of the PVE/P TFOs would be an entirely different animal and that would require alot of knowledge on popular abilites, Traits, Consoles ect.

Offense isn't the be all end all of PvP like it is in PvE. Player ships don't have millions of hull points...only like 100k. What you need is to LIVE long enough to do that damage AND be able to target them.

Immunes are SOOO season 13...Placates are in fashion right now :P

Unless you face a MW ship...than placate without any immues means dead meat.

Yea..I have yet to see those be successful in Kerrat...
I do have a guy who keeps trying to make that work with the Original MW Cruisers (I only use 2 placates..You can stack waay more)..Its only a 10 second immunity.. Still placate him..No immunites..Lots of regen tho :P

Its ok, but you know PvP is more as just Stats.

If you want PM me your hole Ship with Traits & co., i can take a look if you want. I play PvP for allmost 10 Years.
