Have to admit; discount + zen sale = pack a lot more tempting
Still not buying, but agree it is more tempting now. The current zen sale bonus is a separate entity but Cryptic has it coinciding to make you think you're getting an even better deal. If Cryptic corrects the bugs with the pack before the sale ends then I'll reconsider buying it otherwise anyone buying it is just crossing their fingers & trusting Cryptic or doesn't care which is perfectly fine too.

Not to me. I have refused to spend actual currency on this game since Delta when all my end game ships got knocked down a peg. But *wait* you can spend MORE money to upgrade the ones you already bought!
Nope.
Now I just use dilithium farmed from my alts, and covert that to Zen. I can pull 128k dilithium per toon per month, so at prevailing average exchange of say 300 to 1, I get 426 Zen per character per month; 15 alts; 6k+ zen a month. So Zen sales don't motivate me personally.
Now give me a T6 Nova, or a T6 Oberth.......take my money!

Is the DSC away uniform unlocked account wide, and is the vest locked to it or usable with other sets?

No, but not for the reason listed. Right now I have sooooo many unused ships that to buy more seems wasteful, not because I don't like these ships, so its not personal or rejection. Its like getting hit on by a hot young chick, only to tell her you are already marriage, its a rejection based on context, not a rejection of the individual.
Which is a ridiculous notion because a lot of T5 ships are perfectly serviceable as endgame ships.
True, but when comparing, let's not forget that T6 ships offer traits. As long as you use them on the T5 the comparison is only half valid. (Although some traits can be gathered without T6 ships, they're not the most sought-after ones.)
My mother was an epohh and my father smelled of tulaberries
Zen sale is another carrot being dangled to try and coax out a few more sales.
Buying still gives cryptic a thumbs up that they got the pricing right (which they didn't) as they won't factor in when people bought in relation to things like zen sales they'll only look at the number sold and go hey guys that worked lets trim down the next pack even more.
With the two discounts (Zen & for buying the starter pack) I went ahead and bought the pack. I have 19 characters and play most of them at sometime during each month. I like the look of 2 of the new ships and the new skin for the existing ship...
I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy STO and buying the LTS back during the beta I have gotten so much out of this game that I have no problem spending a little money to help keep the game around. I paid $199 for the game 9 years ago and have been getting 500 Zen each month since they went free to play. I still support this game because here it is 9 years later and I still enjoy playing this game .....
The best part about this is that you are able to decide whether or not to buy something.....
I chose to buy this time, you make your own choice ......
The sale price on the pack needs to remain until the promises of these upcoming changes have been fulfilled.
Putting pressure on the buyer with a limited time 'act now' sale and then just saying that things will be changed/altered/fixed down the road raises ethical marketing concerns.
Don't get me wrong, if a buyer is comfortable taking them at their word, then that's fine. Just understand that not everyone feels comfortable spending money in that way.
Extending the sale is the fair compromise. People should be able to buy the pack with the intended features for the discounted price.

I was not going to get it but as was pointed out with the discount and the zen sale, I essentially got the pack for about $20. A rather worthwhile deal all things considered. This is especially so given I do what I can to support STO; hell I dropped nearly $1k since Christmas but I digress...
My interest in this pack are the traits nothing else really matters to me as I'm a hardcore Romulan player but the pilot BoP may be a joy to fly as a precursor Romulan ship so to speak.

I chose no... I have no interest in the Klingon vessels, and the only other item in the pack, that would have really wanted, was the Walker costume (which I could not justify the price for... Oh well)
So I opted for the individual items in the pack I would have liked
There is the 30% sale, the starter pack gets subtracted and 10 keys are thrown in. Is it just me or aren’t 6-6,5k zen for 4 ships and some outfits that bad?

Maybe. I have piles and stacks and fleets of FedShips already and am only a lukewarm Discovery watcher. I have fewer KDF ships but still more than my 4 KDF captains can fly. Maybe I'll get the KDF Miracle Worker ship since I don't have any other MW ships. Or not.
I bought the Europa because I liked the ship, so my Discovery captain is already set. He'll be the pirate twins again.
This is kind of my problem. I have SO many ships available to me because I've been playing since day one. Sure, I could buy more ship slots, but that just seems to be feeding the problem of having so many ships available to me.
But yeah, it's kind of a good problem to have, but still feels like a bit of a problem, like trying to choose cereal in an aisle filled with cereal.

Just do like I do. Only keep your non-reclaimable ships (lockbox, Lobi, and promo) in your slots, and leave a couple empty. That way you just claim the C-store ship, master it, and discharge it.
Running out of ship slots? Drydock slots are a much better than ship slots. 5 Drydock slots costs less than 2 active slots.

Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
Likely no. However, I do like the fact that it appears like the Feds and Klingons are getting a Romulan equivalent to the Scimitar. All they need is a fighter slot and they would be set. The miracle worker bonus console slot sort of makes up for that. The designs are nice, especially the BoP. Like others have said tho, I wish there were two packs. Hate buying Fed ships when I mostly play Rom/Klingon and have a unholy amount of Fed ships already.....
Side note. The Upgrade Tokens are 110k like they normally are in these Packs. However, these do increase Quality by 2x instead of none. There are also five instead of the normal three.

9 Episodes into S2 of DSC and they never fired the phasers onscreen. I want to know why the devs changed it. i want my old screen accurate disco phasers back to enjoy these ships

Get the Forums Enhancement Extension!
They should add separate dedicated console slots for Universal Consoles, so those won't have to go in Tac/Eng/Sci slots. I would say about 2 of them.
Then they should start selling Universal Consoles for ships as stand alone....like Kit Modules for ground.
