Well... we already have some other teams represented by banners on DS9..
Yeah, quite a few. Just go up to the second floor walk way and look around. I wouldn't be in any way surprised to see them get made for next year. Heck it's easy to guess how they'll look based on the banners.
Certainly hope the new outfits will be something more interesting than baseball uniforms. More swimsuits (or a quality/upgrade pass on the old ones) wouldn't suck.
(hmm, there's been some sort of thematic connection to the current plotlines in some of the summer stuff - Retro/TOS uniforms when we had TOS content, baseball uniforms for DS9, etc.... has there been anything in Discovery so far that would fit in the summer/vacation/leisure category?)

ViL is still relatively recent, so maybe something based on that.
I wouldn't be surprised to see "DISCO" T-shirts though.
Did I mention: Lethean needs long sleeve t-shirt layered under those jerseys to cover his arms....so he can wear them without looking like Frankenstein?

Soo.. for context:
The Pike City Pioneers team is based on Cestus III, and is mentioned in DS9.
Janus VI is the planet the Hortas were first seen on.
Lake Armstrong is on Earth's moon.
Bozeman(Montana) is the place Zephram Cochrane was working in while designing warp drive.
Deneb V is the planet Mudd scammed in "I, Mudd". Slime Devils were mentioned as coming from Deneb IV.
Jupiter Station and Utopia Planitia are both Federation starbases in the Sol system.
Terra Nova is from ENT and the first Human colony world.
Blue Borers are a potentially dangerous kind of ice worm on Andoria.
New Berlin... there's TWO of those in Star Trek. One is a city on Earth's moon, the other a colony near the Ohniaka system. Hard to be sure which ha a team called "Craters" but it definitely makes sense for Earth's moon.
Orion Buccaneers is an obvious reference to how Orions are legendary for being pirates.

To match up with the Caitians, of course.

They name sports teams after animals, too, you know.
What other animals are there in Star Trek??? LOL!

And the color palettes were a bit pale and bland; they need more color.
