    While this is a nice gesture, it does remind me of something I've long thought should exist in this game: the extension of vanity slots to cover ground weapon models as well. Let's say, for example, you want to stick with the basic phaser rifles and pistols, but don't like how the models change at higher mark levels. No problem, just pick up a couple of the cheap Mk.2s and drop them into these slots. Again, the more cynical among us would opine that there would be no interest in such an implementation unless it can be somehow monetized. Well, a perusal of Path of Exile's microtransactions would answer that question nicely.

    I would also take this opportunity to again mention a couple of aesthetic changes that I feel long overdue:
    • some older weapon models look entirely too big in the hands of average-sized characters; and
    • the 'unaimed' pose for pulsewaves (and Zef's shotgun) needs to match the other longarms.

    The article says it can only be claimed once per account. So, does that mean that only one character get the weapons, or what?

    It would be nice to be able to 'reclaim' this item to get the weapons on all characters.
    (Obviously, the Bank Slots and XP boost would be once-only items, though.)

    on the xbox one apparently they are not in the c-store yet as I have looked in even area of the store and can not see them, and in the news on the character select screen it says "Starting soon, you'll be able to claim free weapons and upgrades in the xbox store" so either your misinformed as to when they are coming to the xbox one or they just did not add it to the store yet?

    You have to claim them first though the Xbox store. Then they'll show in the C-store

    ahh, thank you I guess i'm the one that did not read that correctly, I thought when it said xbox store they were meaning the store in game.

    The Cobalt pack is still not showing up in the UK PSN Store. Is there any news when it will be availalble?

    You might want to make a correction on that, as it's "not free" if you have to pay for PS plus to obtain the items. The loose use of the word free, when it really isn't, makes people feel fooled

    hmm, this sounds similar to warframes renown packs on the ps4 and the prestige packs on xbox.
