Admiralty system with Real Ships

We have a lot of ships that we don't get the opportunity to fly.
Also many people have asked for a "Bridge" mode where we can fly through sector space while on the bridge.
We are also an admiral rank at the endgame which is exposed via the Admiralty system which while interesting, doesn't quite make me feel like an Admiral.

We clearly can't get bridge mode, but we CAN get the next best thing perhaps by extending the Admiralty system:

That is, if we have an Admiralty card for a ship that we literally possess, give us the option of manually performing whatever mission the ship is sent on once the mission is in a collectable state.

Thus, instead of flying around sector space, I can simply, from ESD or my actual ships bridge, or my Fleet HQ where I am based, dispatch my various ships around the galaxy, and perform whatever random missions they get to as and when they arrive.

This would/could be massively beneficial to store sales as:
1. People would need to buy more admiralty ships to ensure they have a full roster going.
2. People would buy more unique gear to equip on said ships as each ship would need its own gear.
3. People would spend more time in social hubs rather than traversing empty space improving player engagement.

It would be an interesting solution to the random missions that got removed with exploration clusters to be allowed to designate participation in an admiralty mission. Types could be locked to the tier you're at in that campaign.

Getting to fly a one off ship might help entice people into buying that ship, although maybe not due to the inevitable iffy gear you'd have to put up with not to mention unslotting of traits often triggered by ship swapping. The option to fly before you buy as it were.

Forcing people into thinking they have to buy ships simply to do admiralty is even worse than pushing ships on people by what trait they have, such as the grav well trait that got slapped on an escort for some reason.

On point 3, people might well avoid the social hubs because of the people there, ESD chat can be downright vile sometimes and DS9 is far too cramped for anything to be social.

    1. I think almost everyone has bought all the ships possible....except those of us a bit slower to the grind.
    2. I think the point of adding dry dock was to cut the amount of data needed for gear and ships loaded with each character switch. They are not going to regress back to it.
    3. The hubs are only useful if you have no other choice....for example: Grymm for Phoenix Boxes. The Lore Questions at the Academies.

Besides, I doubt they would expand on Admiralty beyond what it is now, a clicky game.
But I must say, you have an awesome idea for a Foundry challenge theme, again.
