Good morning folks. Many fleet have many fancy recruitment pitches on the forums here and many forum readers would be perfectly happy in most of them. If you're looking however for a slight break from the standard fleet tightly controlled by a fleet leader that treats you like a guest in his home or the glorified beggar fleets looking for you to give them all of your space loot, consider stopping those random blind fleet invites from others and join up with the First Contact Committee.
The fleet treats you like an equal, not a tenant in a leader's personal fleet. You won't have to jump through hoops or pass random requirements to enjoy the benefits of fleets here.
All members have access to fleet provisions for personal purchases. If we have the provisions on hand and you need an item, get it. You will never see the fleet begging for your donations to the fleet holdings. The fleet will naturally grow through your need for Fleet Credits for making purchases on some of the best items, unlocks, and Admiralty system ship cards available. If you need an item that the fleet holding isn't a high enough level to provide, in most cases an invite to another fleet's map can accommodate purchase of the item while still using First Contact Committee provisions. There are notable chat channels that help with these instances.
The fleet bank is open for all, it isn't an extended personal storage of the fleet leader. Only place items in the bank that you are comfortable parting ways with and can't be troubled going to the vendor to remove from your inventory. Some tabs are set aside for safe controlled trading (trades between members, transferring high value items to alt characters, donating a high value item to another member that you don't want snatched up in the free trade, etc) that can easily be given temporary access for members wishing to safely move items.
Fleet is currently Level 20 (21 underway) with a number of cosmetic limited-time projects completed if you're the kind of person that enjoys kicking tribbles on the starbase, and is a Gamma fleet in the Strike Force Delta 1 Armada.
