We can't know this yet, although it's fair to assume we'll get most of, if not all, of the ships seen in Season 1 of Discovery.

If I were to speculate, I'd say they'll follow a similar pattern to AoY, with the ships having lower-tier and endgame versions of themselves.

In addition, there will NOT be a non-lockbox Crossfield, as confirmed last night.

    Not shocked on that one.

I guess that's expected but it still is a sad.

I dont see why the cant release a non lock box version of the Crossfield or other Discovery lock box ships... just change the spec on it... give it intel or command or miracle worker etc... each with a different console and you need to collect them all for an uber PTW ability... turn the ships into pokemons gotta catch em all.

Pretty sure the non Lockbox Crossfield, if that is true, will not have all the bells and whistles of the Lockbox version. Unless they decided to do the same thing they did for the T5 Galor and keep it in a big bundle.

    Only time will tell.

Me personally... I'm looking forward to Discovery era ground weapons.

Edit: Misread. But still... if it did... not all the bells and whistles.

The more I think about the more I think it's a big mistake not to allow new players coming in to get the hero ship they will want from the show. When they join the game and find out they can't fly the Discovery my bet is more than half quit immediately.

They can make the C-Store version have a unique tac console that is only for the same type of ship. Make a type of each Spec. Have each unique Tac console boost ALL dmg by 25% or 30%. Since it's a tac console it will eat into the possible number of fleet/spire tac consoles players tend to stack.

vs a mk 15 epic tac console... the possible dmg boost is lower... but the unique c-store consoles boosts all dmg types and sources.

each Spec ship has it's own ship trait and it's own unique tac console... and have all the consoles tie into the lockbox console with a set bonus. This way it wont hurt the lock box ship version and it can drive folks to collect all ship types.

yes a weeee higher price. i know people on here think energy is easy but i would estimate it will take around 6 months for a new player to grind the energy. or open 20 boxes then smash their computer.

if the store version lacked the spore drive and was watered down in other ways i think it would be best for the game.

so what will they do instead - re-issue the lockbox? that can make some short term profits, but i'd rather bring in 5000 new players.

In the Starbase One TFO on tribble there are some basic DSC era frigates for the KDF that are those BoPs with the bird type look. And there’s also some sort of small generic Federation cruiser/frigate that looks a bit like the Miranda. It’s not any of those seen in pictures so far so it must be something new.

The first Klingon BoP ever seen was designed as a stolen Romulan ship, so of course they are Romulan imports, just like the Romulan D-7 is a Klingon import. Just like Israel using F18s.

No, the first Bird of Prey we see in ST III was a Klingon ship, not stolen or purchased. I can't say the same for the Kelvin model, tht seems to share a design language with Romulan work. THIS one (Discovery) is clearly a Romulan import, but chronologically the Bird of Prey from Enterprise comes first, and shares design language with the one from III (and IV, and V,and VI, and TNG, and DS9).

otoh, Discovery's "Bird of Prey" shares design language with Romulan and Reman work, with pretty clear connections to the D'Deridex (TNG) and Scimitar (Nemesis). Obviously, in the CBS Retcon, they've inverted the trade deal and Klingons are too stupid to design their own ships, or too poor to build them.

Remember...CBS is pretty much going, "TOS IS DEAD!!!! IT'S SO 60's! DESTROY IT, REMAKE IT!" So far, Disco, to me, has been "Let's TRIBBLE all over Gene Roddenberry's and Matt Jefferies' gaves!"

Would not surprise me if we see Star Destroyers appear, next. >_>

I doubt they'd be bold enough to steal star destroyers, they only plagiarize lesser known works in hopes no one will challenge them or they can shut them down without a fight.

They already did it with a video game....things practically identical, down to the plot and characters.

Maybe we'll see a mustached Italian guy overalls working with the spore drives, next. ;)

So, another Miranda variant, games-wise. What about the other ships seen above?

I think Thomas Maronne wrote that eventually they were eventually going to put all the "Battle of the Binary Stars" ships in-game, although that was months back so who knows what'll end up being added. Vague rumours circulating we might be getting an ISS Discovery with the Anniversary "Captain Killy" episode, doubt that though.

I just want a means to transfer Crossfield and Walker classes to an AoD character (yeah, fat chance but i'm not buying another one lol).

That would make sense, since it's rather likely we'll have at least one Feature Episode that takes place aboard the USS Discovery (or the USS Glenn if the episode were to take place before the catastrophy that befell it as per 'Context is for Kings').

That being the case it seems highly probable that the interior will be made available to players in some way, shape or form.

It's the USS Glen IIRC but both are Crossfield-class ships so the interiors should be more or less identical. As for what ships we the I'd assume were not gonna get a "free" Crossfield or Walker class (nor a C-store version) but that still leaves plenty of ships to add.

How long did it take for us to get a T6 TOS Connie? AND its not a C-Store ship.

Honestly I'd be content if they added a T6 Discovery Connie that had a different setup from the TOS one. But I'll take what I can get because I'm not trying to be Kirk or Sisko or any other captain. I'm gonna be myself and fly what I feel like without trying to circumvent the name lockouts in creative ways.

If I wanted to be Kirk, I'd play the KT Star Trek game. If I wanted to be Picard, I'd play the old SNES TNG game or Star Trek Legacy.

I'm sure they'll will be a free Crossfield, just maxed at t5/t5-u with no console (and being t5 will not have the r5 ship trait ether).
