Greetings Captains!
We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 7/12 at 7AM Pacific for 2.5 hours. (What time is this for me?)

    You do know the Jem'Hadar Vanguard species trait is not working right? Not on space or ground. Essentially have no species trait right now.

    Ever going to fix it?

    I found this humorous...

    -Baseball Hair for Jem’Hadar, tucked hair, has been disabled from being used for anything except for Baseball Caps.

    Not in and of itself, but because the Jem'Hadar got a very specific hairstyle for a single piece of rare clothing while we still don't have an iconic M'Ress hairstyle that half the Caitian population has been waiting for for many, many years.

    All Risa Floaters now animate and play fx properly.

    So which of the following bugs were actually fixed?

    Holodeck ticket 4,724,277: Thruster rotations on floaters are not symmetric
    Holodeck ticket 4,724,280: Thrusters on male superior floaters do not rotate
    Holodeck ticket 4,725,401: Inconsistent thruster fire on floaters

    In addition to the animation errors, there are errors in the appearance of the central thruster on superior floaters. These bugs go back years.

    Holodeck ticket 4,436,798: Icons of some superior floaters have wrong thruster size
    Holodeck ticket 4,436,801: Incorrect central thruster on superior floaters

    This can be claimed once per account and is the weekly reward received when playing a Featured Episode.
    This is to make up for this reward being missing from the second week run of “Home”.

    So, I guess the problems with missing DH Security department head dofflist and non-replayable Terminal Expanse for Vanguard Jem'Hadar remains...
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    please be aware the artifact hunt tricorders are broke and need attention, they have been broke for a week plus and the event is unplayable without the tricorder working? please advise.

    Also, as a long-standing bug, Engine visuals tend to become disabled (and only become visible after slotting again). Would be nice if you guys addressed that too, one day.

    Actually the event isn't unplayable, since you still have the hot/cold aspect. It's just a little more on the guesswork side since you don't have the arrow that holds your hand the entire way.

    But I guess that is something doesn't hold people's hand is considered broke?

    fyi, i have tried to do it without the tricorder, hot and cold took me almost whole time to find artifact. tricorder takes less than 5, event is useless with hot and cold being your only tricorder.

    They never change the spawn locations so the old guide maps are still valid for the artefacts.

    Combine the hot/cold with one of those.

    If you're at least familiar with where the dig sites are, then all you need is the hot/cold indicators. I took five toons through the artifact hunt last night and each one took less than three minutes to find their artifact. Most took less than two.

    When I get going in a 'hot' direction I start checking the spawn points along that flight path till I find it.

    And I would get confused by the red indicator anyway. The hot/cold indicators work better for me.
    Now a LTS and loving it.

    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

    So where are the patch notes for today's downtime? I'm not sure why we'll be having another downtime Friday, couldn't the two be done at the same ti...

    ...ooooh, it's just a wrong date, gotcha. Kind of how the start time for the maintenance was listed wrong on the FB post. :p

    As for the patch itself, thanks for fixing things but there are other things I hope are still being worked on. The various graphics bugs like the mysterious line on some maps and the flashing grass on New Romulus and Risa are getting old.

    Yup +1 to this..It showed the direction once and never again after that..So I too basically dot play the artifact hunt mini game..

    All you need for the artifact hunt is the map to the spawn points, which has been linked to, and the hot/cold indicators. I've got almost all the spawn sites memorized, so it takes less than three minutes to find an artifact and I can take up to five toons through it before time runs out.

    Yes, sometimes it takes around four or five minutes if I'm not familiar with a site placement, but that's rare.
    Now a LTS and loving it.

    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

    So, until recently I was unaware that there was even a red arc indicating direction, so in my opinion it may be more difficult, but not unplayable. I have always used the close/far text and only failed a few times. One of those was because I forgot to use the site-to-site transport and tried to fly back to the camp and the timer ran out, my bad for sure, a noob mistake I know.

    And, although I know where most sites are now, I did try using the red line/arc after I saw that post and it does help speed up the process. I can see that really helping our newest players...it's easy to forget how overwhelming this game can be to newcomers. The only problem for me is that I had to position the camera overhead and slightly to the right and behind my character to see the red arc, and sometimes it doesn't show up at all.
