Gamma Recruit Space Warfare Doff Only Slottable On Ground Duty

Elder Malik'Itan, the gold quality duty officer that I received today from the Gamma Recruit Transponder, is a Space Warfare Specialist. He cannot be slotted for active space duty. I see this on my Gamma Recruit himself, and on a Romulan toon who claimed Elder Malik'Itan from the Temporal Defense agent stationed on board D'Tan's flagship at the Romulan Flotilla.

    I have the same issue. The Description for Malik'itan is that he is space warfare specialist with bonus to space damage. So is character incorrectly slotted for ground rather than space? Or is it the description that is wrong?
