After hitting level 61, I got my T5 ship but no upgrade token, I have tried this on my new jem'hadar and a normal toon, both got their T5 ship but cannot activate the upgrade to T5u, please advise.
Cache version just shows the 5th's version for me.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
As usual, looks like a U-turn, the proverbial carrot, pulled away just as you think you have it. Most likely they decided that they need more money from us and it's easier to sell an upgrade token than a T5 ship which is useless @ 61 unless you can upgrade it to a T5u which is basically a T6 with no special seating or trait. As someone who can't afford to buy a T6 ship, I was looking forward to getting a T5 and an upgrade so I could at least feel it was worth making any effort to go past 60, not to mention the ridiculous cost of upgrading anything from MK XII to MK XV. It was hard enough trying to get an ultra rare weapon to MK XIV (as someone who doesn't have money (ec or real) or dilithium to throw at anything. Please don't troll me for these comments, not everyone can 'manage' money or has any in the first place. Just because you can doesn't mean others must be able to as well.
I actually did a YouTube video with the original announcements. There was an upgrade token initially.
Aye, indeed there was, but with yesterday's live stream it is very doubtful Cryptic's team will follow through & deliver with integrity. Instead they'll just sweep it under the rug, but I hope I'm wrong. The easy fix would be just to do what they've done in the past & issue an Account or Character bound Upgrade Token. I think their original vision was benevolent but it says something about a person or company when they renege like that even though in the big scope of things to do with STO it isn't a priority. I think Cryptic decided it wasn't worth the effort with the calculation that those that spend big money don't really need/want it & those that don't spend enough subjectively probably would use it, but hopefully they'll readdress it.

It was in their original level cap increase announcement which you can view here. https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:zcM_v6syG2QJ:https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10878744-star-trek-online%27s-level-cap-increases-to-65+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
If you look at the current version of the page, it makes no mention of it at all. https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10878744-star-trek-online's-level-cap-increases-to-65

Oh. I should have taken a screenshot. But we all know what we read when they first announced it. None of us are remembering incorrectly.
