Dominion Captains and Starfleet Ship Traits

There are two traits I always activate on every character before going to my main ship:
Improved Gravity Well from the Chimesh Pilot Escort.
Stay on Target from the Mercury Class Escort.
Since there has been no information given on if there are Dominion equivalents of these vessels, I am wondering how a Dominion Captain will unlock these traits for use on their other ships.
At the moment, my theory is that a Dominion Captain will requisition the Starfleet ships and use those to unlock the traits.
Can anyone confirm if this is the way these ship traits will be acquired for Dominion Captains?

If you ally with the Federation after the starting mission, you can claim and fly those ships to Master them and get the Starship Traits.0
