List the ships we'll never get a T6 version of.

patrickngopatrickngo Member Posts: 9,954 Arc User
Just what the title says, which ships aren't we going to see a T6 update for?

Here's my list:

Vor'cha/Tor'kaht

Vo'Quv (The first carrier in the game)

Any non-B'rel Bird of Prey (but especially the Hegh'ta and the Norgh/Ning'tao.)

Kar'fi (which still has a defective skin.)

any others you guys can think of?

t- 6 vandel, cause plasmonic leech with set bouses is not something they'ld want to give the kdf. more so since there is no way too give it to the feds.

and there should be an asterisk on the bird of prey for in less discovery shows one so they can put it in a lock box.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

Ugh...I could give a rat's TRIBBLE about more T-6 ships.
Give me my Anniversary T-5 Kamarag, dammit!!!

I had a great time with that sucker way back when...
And I wanna try it out with all my new Delta recruits.

Why pay C-store Prices for single character unlocks??? Which is why I will never buy Fleet Ships. Get this Cryptic: I WILL NEVER BUY SINGLE CHARACTER UNLOCK SHIPS.

Plus, the Feds got their equivalent : Anniversary Ambassador as a give away a while ago.

Besides, you seen that post in the General Discussion, right?
The "Natives" are getting restless....they haven't got a ship on the Fed side in a while.

We can forget about anything for our Faction.

Yea, like what 2 weeks ago, oh my. KDF don't get squat unless it comes in a set release. I read somewhere, maybe a mission, that the Federation started building carrier ships because they realized the Klingon superiority was because of their carriers. I'm still waiting to see them, because we have one T5 carrier that's not even upgradable.

My Fleet Leader is all into Carriers...and I tried the Vo'Quv on his recommendation on my last level up.

It was WAY over my head...too many things on the screen to manage for me. I really could not understand what all the different options for the "pets" meant, really....intercept? escort? What ever...go attack something???

I am a totally impatient person and it was just soooo sloww... I couldn't do it right. :( Now, he (Fleet Leader) on the other hand...he had that sucker down to a science.

They still don't have a T-6 Vo'Quv?? I think he would come back to at least check that out. Maybe.
He will be back for Victory is Life and Summer Event, at least.

(I wonder how many of us are waiting for Victory is Life and Summer Event, so our friends will come back and play with us for a short time????)

Nope, T5U Fleet Vo'quv, which isn't bad. I forget about the T5U Karfi, not a KDF design but not bad, little light on hull though, but does have fifth seat and 4/3 weapon.

I don't know if people even go for those Fleet ships if they are casual players or not into STO full time.

So don't buy them, trade the dil for zen and earn them in glorious battle!

I am talking about Fleet Ships. Which require 4-5 Fleet Ship Modules to acquire on ONE character. Thanks, but no thanks.

Do I even have the time? Doubtful.

Making that much Dilithium to trade it all for Zen, I am better off buying a C-store ship during a sale and unlock it on every character on the account. Just because I traded my time for Zen...does not mean I am going to get frivolous with my spending.

    My time is precious.

Is buying Zen for ships going to be worth the investment when I would rather do something else.... for example: Find the time to read Patrickngo's book OR watch 10 more Jem'hadar related episodes of DS9 before June 5th??

That ship better be FANTASTIC right out of the box to keep my attention. LOL!

Yup.... I wrote about it on my thread about DS9 Episodes here:

    https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/discussion/1240078/victory-is-life-tv-show-episodes

It is on Page 2 at 9:53am....if you don't want to read the ENTIRE thread.

I will come back here and write about it....once I get a better view of it. Cat woke me up at 3am...so I am off to take a nap. Lack of sleep is catching up with me.

T6 Nova. Yeah yeah it's a feddie bear ship...but that one is almost as bad as not having a T6 Vor'cha honestly.

Well, there may be too many Engineering ships on the KDF side ?
Same goes for Science ships for the Feds ??
Too similar to other offerings they are charging more money for?

I am not sure what else it could be.

I think the KDF is more likely to be flying a T6 Rhode Island, than to get a T6 Vor'cha or Vo'Quv.

    To hell with Rhode Island.

TRIBBLE, why not... UNLOCK ALL the ships to everyone, not just to Romulans.
We can run around in Scimitars and SROs and have a BIGGER snore fest.

I never watched Enterprise. Never liked Bakula...I don't watch him...not even on NCIS New Orleans. <--the only NCIS series I am not watching.

I don't even know what an Enterprise era BoP looks like. I will go Google it...and fast forward the episode to take a peek. LOL!

So...the KDF gets a T6 Nova and the feddie bears gets a T6 Vor'Cha for the ultimate troll?

Come on, now Coldnapalm.... give yourself some credit....on the forums you are it. :) :::giggling:::

What the Devs did for Romulans, recently, is the ultimate troll move. And you gained on that, too.

Vor'cha/Tor'kaht has the combined problems of the Excelsior and the Assault Cruiser Refit (minus the variant issues). The Excelsior was fairly impressive mechanically when released, like the Fleet Tor'kaht, so many were expecting it to have similarly impressive specs when T6'ed, it did not, and you don't see many of them around. The Archon Assault Cruiser Refit has decent specs and is a nice upgrade over the Regent Assault Cruiser Refit (which is the Tor'kaht counterpart), but being released after the Arbiter it fell short of expectations to where you see very few of them, fewer than I'd have expected even accounting for the fiasco with the plastic variant of the Assault Cruiser Refit.

The Vo'Quv and Kar'fi carriers are probably on hold because of how poorly the Jupiter sold, even though there was a vote on how it should look. Never mind that the BOff layout wasn't that great and the special frigate pets it has access to continually have issues, the metrics have spoken... Thoguh, with luck the new Jem'hadar Carrier will sell well enough with it's decent (and close to Vo'Quv) BOff layout and separation gimmicks, that we might see more T6 carriers in the C-Store.

Birds of Prey are in a weird place IMO, as the mechanics they started out with pigeon hole them into a spot not that great for PvE. Constant damage output tends to work out a lot better than hit and fade for PvE. Some stuff like the Terran Battlezone even has anti-cloaking features (if you cloak there, a emission-seeking torp comes from nowhere and kills you).

Right after they redid the skill tree, BoPs were great in everything. Then they had the "space rebalance" shenanigans, and it was like they got neutered again.
