Temporal Agent Recruitment return?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
The return of Delta Recruitment must have made a lot of those who originally missed it quite pleased, and provided the opportunity to get those bonuses. Unfortunately, I missed the Temporal Agent Recruitment event, and was wondering, if Delta came back, what would be the likelihood of seeing that as well? I really hope it's a possibility.

    Probably just a matter of time at this point. It's been just about 3 years since delta recruits first ran. In a few months, we'll hit the two year mark on temporal recruits. So perhaps next year.
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    Anything is possible, but in the short term, not very likely.

    I get the feeling that one of the reasons why they brought back Delta Recruits was in the hopes that people will use up their remaining character slots so they'd have to buy more for a possible Gamma based recruitment event.

    Which is countered by the fact that whenever we had a new faction introduced, Cryptic GAVE us a free character slot to enable us to create a character of that faction. They did it with Legacy of Romulus when we got the Romulans, and they did it again with Agents of Yesterday when we got TOS Feds. They'll do it again for Jem'Hadar in Victory is Life.

    I agree with rattler. Added Roms, free slot, added Delta recruits, free slot, added AoY, free slot. Why would they change that pattern now ?

    Yes I am very well aware of this but usually people who can buy more slots will like to make more than just one character to gain more benefits. I should've explained the free slot since I already know that.

    cause you only get 1 free slot and you may want to make more than 1 new toon? DR for max benefits needs 3.

    they will give you one but between a JHD or Cardi? I'd only make 1 toon and not buy another char slot.

    At current rate of expansions, is it likely that we'll see the return of Temporal Agent recruitment by the next one (i.e. approximately two years time), depending on how popular Delta recruitment is this time round?

    As a quick note, because I know what people are going to say - the Gamma Vanguard pack is not the only way to play a Cardassian, just the only currently announced way.

    While the C-store is quite plausible it's important to say the method for unlocking Cardassians has consistently not been confirmed yet. Other possibilities are still extant (unless someone happened to let something slip in an interview, but as far as I'm aware that hasn't happened yet.)

    There's a precedent with Remans, unlocked either by CStore purchase or getting your Romulan Reputation to tier five. It wouldn't surprise me if something similar was done with Cardassians. While the ViL pack is documented as unlocking Cardassians, that does not exclude other methods of playing one since all the ViL details haven't been released. I was actually hoping that the new 'faction' would have been Cardassian since I would rather play a Cardassian over a Jem'Hadar and I have no plans on running two more characters through the same missions I've already played several times.

    Well that is assuming that they will go by the same methods that they used to, but that doesn't mean they are going to do the same thing again.

    No it doesn't. Without further details it's all speculation and either way wouldn't surprise me. The only thing I'm going on is the mention of further details to be released in the playable Cardassian announcement.

    All stand-alone races are either C-Store bought or a life-time subscription. Since they're in the discount pack, that means they will be in the discount pack and a stand-alone C-Store purchase with a possible third way to get them (the last of which they haven't done since the Remans were added to the New Romulus reputation 5 years ago).

    That's speculation. It's reasonable speculation but it's still speculation. The method for unlocking Cardassian (besides the large Vanguard pack) has, quite factually, not been confirmed yet. We are still waiting on final details.

    Sorry to revive an old thread, but has anyone heard any word as to if they will reboot the temporal event soon. I missed it due to being laid up in a hospital. I'm a TOS fanatic and was dismayed my ticker going south made me miss this event.
