What am I missing on the Kurak?

I just put its stats right beside the tier five vor'cha stats, and its actually better. The only thing it is lacking is one point on the base turn rate. Correct if I am wrong, running duel heavy cannons on the vor'cha from back in the day was the normal approach for damage. Grant it you wont be able to do a high end aoe build, which in my opinion is dangerous, unless your running the very best possible gear in the game. I do not see the issue. I am asking because my knowledge of the old game is extensive, my knowledge of the current game is lacking. I was already told by a experienced kdf player that it barely could do duel heavy cannons, but this confuses me because we did duel heavy cannons on the vorchas all the time.

Just as a side note: I noticed one of my loot drops had an Impulse Engines which included the modifier [Inertia} which added +10 to Inertia rate of the ship. This can help, too.

All you might need is a Conductive RCS Accelerator to boost your turn rate. You can get a VR one pretty cheap just to test it and see.

Things like the 5 forward weapon slots and the ability to use intel abilities like OSS or Surgical Strikes make the Kurak superior to the Vor'cha.

My apology for the late reply, my mind has been all over the place of recent, but yes I do have some of those consoles. Right now I have the engineering consoles for defense, but that also come with a boost to your turn rate. The ship is somewhat sluggish at half impulse speed but nothing drastic. Working on figuring out the upgrade system and re system before I start upgrading said consoles, other wise I like the way the ship runs.

I remember trying the old T5 Mogh as a DHC boat long ago to replace my reliable T5 Fleet Vor'Cha in that capacity. It just doesn't sail as nice.

Vor'Cha turns better. It's only 1 pt better than the Mogh but it makes a difference. Even wayyyyy back in the day, the first year or two of this game, KDF found a simple truth:

Vor'Cha with it's 10 turn rate was a far deadlier DHC Battlecruiser than the Negh'Var's 9. Vor'Cha simply swings the guns around better than the more sluggish Negh'Var.

The same held true when the Mogh came out, even the later T6 Mogh.

If you insist on the DHC / narrow weapon arc build on the T6 Mogh / Kurak, try incorporating Aux2Damp. Hell there's even a Matter-Anti-matter specialist DOFF that buffs A2D so that it also grants Energy Resists to it for a while. And it's dirt cheap to get an effective quality one.

A2D I use quite extensively on my Cruisers. Fed, KDF, even on my rare Rom ones.

What needs to happen is a T6 Vor'Cha.

Seems about right warmaker, it has been a long time since ive messed with the tier five vor'cha. I think the last time was a pvp match came in from above decloaked, and well Fed cruiser went boom. I didnt think one point would make that big of a difference but it does seem to. At any rate its the best one I can use right now for what I am looking for so it will have to do.
